Role Description The Advanced Analytics team helps the company make smarter, more informed decisions with data. In this role, you will contribute to the analyses and experiments that guide our product, content, monetization choices, and help translate insights into meaningful improvements for the business. You will partner closely with product, growth marketing, content strategy, finance, and experimentation teams to: - Identify opportunities - Design and measure experiments - Conduct deep-dive analyses - Develop clear recommendations that improve business performance You are equally comfortable in the details of complex, sometimes messy data and in executive-level storytelling that influences decisions. The ideal candidate excels at stakeholder management, can tell a compelling story through data without unnecessary jargon, and enjoys hunting for the “juicy nugget” that changes a roadmap or strategy. They think broadly about the full ecosystem of the business while executing on multiple work-streams that ladder up to our North Star metrics. They bring a strong analytical toolkit, polished communication skills, and a passion for debugging, troubleshooting, and continuously improving how we use data to operate the business. The Sr Analyst, Advanced Analytics will report directly to the VP, Enterprise Visualization and Advanced Analytics. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in business analytics, product analytics, data analytics, or a related quantitative field. - Advanced SQL skills working directly in a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g., BigQuery), including complex joins, window functions, and performance-conscious query design. - Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, experimentation, or modeling (e.g., pandas, basic statistical libraries). - Experience with at least one enterprise BI/data visualization tool (Tableau, Looker, Data Studio or equivalent) building stakeholder-facing dashboards and reports. - Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and experiments, including understanding of statistical significance, confidence intervals, and common pitfalls. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex analytical work into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects in parallel, and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment. - Comfort using AI and automation tools to accelerate analysis, documentation, and dashboard development, with strong judgment about validation and QA. Requirements - Experience with GA4 or similar digital analytics tools and comfort reconciling those with warehouse-level event data. - Experience in digital media, subscriptions, or advertising revenue, including familiarity with concepts like churn, ARPU, LTV, and yield optimization. - Exposure to or interest in causal inference, uplift modeling, or more advanced experimentation frameworks beyond frequentist A/B tests. - Familiarity with semantic layers or modeled metrics (e.g., LookML, AtScale, dbt metrics) and governed metric definitions. - Highly driven self-starter mindset, with strong attention to detail and a continuous improvement mentality around tools, processes, and documentation.
