Role Description We’re looking for a Vice President, Information Systems to join our team at Lightspeed. In this role, you will define and execute the enterprise systems strategy that enables Lightspeed’s global growth, operational excellence, and business transformation agenda. Reporting to the SVP, Systems & Revenue, you will lead a global Information Systems organization spanning product management, engineering, enablement, support, governance, and enterprise platforms. You will be accountable for the vision, investment strategy, operating model, and performance of Lightspeed’s enterprise systems ecosystem, ensuring technology capabilities effectively support business priorities, scalable growth, and organizational efficiency. As a senior leader and strategic partner to the executive team, you will drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, optimize business processes, and influence company-wide decisions related to systems, automation, AI enablement, and operational scalability. What you'll be doing: - Strategy & Transformation: - Define and execute Lightspeed's multi-year systems strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, growth plans, and transformation priorities. - Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that simplify business processes, improve scalability, and increase organizational effectiveness. - Champion adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve employee productivity, business effectiveness, and operational performance. - Ensure enterprise systems capabilities support future growth, acquisitions, geographic expansion, and evolving business models. - Establish governance, prioritization, and operation frameworks that ensure effective decision-making, resource allocation, and delivery standards across the IS portfolio. - Portfolio & Investment Management: - Own the Information Systems operating budget, investment portfolio, and resource planning process. - Drive optimization of technology spend while balancing innovation, scalability, and operational reliability. - Ensure enterprise systems investments deliver measurable business outcomes and return on investment. - Lead executive-level vendor negotiations and strategic technology partnership decisions. - Provide leadership and oversight across enterprise systems initiatives, balancing business value, operational stability, compliance, and technical sustainability. - Monitor portfolio performance, key risks, dependencies, and resource allocation taking action to address issues and optimize outcomes. - Executive Partnership & Business Enablement: - Serve as the executive advisor to senior leadership on enterprise systems strategy, digital transformation, automation opportunities, and operational scalability. - Influence organizational decision-making through data-driven recommendations and strategic insights. - Build strong partnerships with cross-functional leaders across Finance, Revenue, Operations, People, and Technology teams to ensure enterprise systems effectively support organizational goals and operational needs. - Ensure enterprise systems and platforms effectively support revenue generation, customer operations, and internal business functions. - Drive adoption, effectiveness, and business value realization across Information Systems capabilities and services. - Partner with Data, Product, and Technology organizations to align enterprise systems with broader company AI, analytics, and automation strategies. - Operational Excellence: - Drive continuous improvement across Information Systems processes, workflows, services and ways of working. - Ensure operational stability, compliance, scalability, and documentation standards are maintained. - Establish performance measures and operating rhythms that promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. - Leadership & Organizational Development: - Lead and develop a global organization through senior leaders across product management, engineering, enablement, support, governance, and enterprise platforms. - Define and evolve the organizational structure, operating model, and talent strategy required to support future business growth. - Build leadership capability and succession plans for critical roles across the Information Systems organization. - Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, customer outcomes, operational excellence, and continuous learning. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. - 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across Information Systems, Enterprise Applications, Business Systems, Technology Operations, or related functions. - Experience leading large-scale enterprise systems organizations through multiple layers of leadership. - Proven success defining enterprise technology strategy and leading complex business transformation initiatives. - Experience managing significant operating budgets, technology investment portfolios, and strategic vendor relationships. - Experience leveraging automation, AI, and modern enterprise platforms to drive business outcomes. - Strong business acumen with the ability to translate organizational priorities into scalable systems and processes. - Strong decision-making and prioritization skills in complex, fast-paced environments. - Experience leading organizational change, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a data-informed approach to decision-making. - Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. - Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. - Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. - Deep understanding of enterprise systems, governance, service delivery, and business operations.
