• Identify need for new filings of Oxylabs trademarks, designs and patents in the Intellectual Property Offices (IP Offices) around the globe; • Perform freedom to operate for envisaged new IP applications; • Coordinate IP filings globally; • Guide outside counsels in preparing responses to office actions in trademark, patent, design and copyright applications in IP Offices • Take part of quarterly meeting with technical teams to collect new patenting ideas and safeguard new ideas’ ‘bank’ • Advice colleagues on IP related topics • Prepare and give trainings on IP matters • Monitor legislative changes in the IP area and keep organization up-to-date • Keep track of expenses and coordinate outside counsels
Job Requirements
- Qualified patent attorney or University degree in Law. Intellectual Property law specialization would be an advantage.
- Education/certification/experience in computer science, engineering or other tech fields.
- 5 years of experience with IP in the private or public sector.
- In depth knowledge of IP law and passion for it.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Thirst for IT environment and technology.

Role Description This role can either be based in our Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore or Delhi offices or remotely in India. The Associate Counsel, Commercial Contracts will primarily be responsible for reviewing global commercial contracts, with a heavy emphasis on vendor/supplier agreements arising out of the United States, Europe, India, and Singapore. The Associate Counsel, Commercial Contracts will report to the Managing Counsel, APAC and will partner with all levels and functions of the business, including People, Security, Procurement, and others, to help AlphaSense achieve its high-growth goals. This role is essential to our growth and will have an immediate impact in our dynamic, fast-paced culture. Qualifications - Fully qualified lawyer and admitted to practice law in India. - Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating global commercial agreements (with a heavy emphasis on vendor/supplier agreements) either in-house or with a nationally recognized law firm (or a combination of the two). - Ability to review and negotiate commercial contracts including Master Services Agreements, Services Agreements, SOWs, Service Level Agreements, Orders Forms, NDAs, etc. - Superior business acumen with an unrivaled commitment and deep-seated need to provide responsive client service to our teams and get things done; approaches responsibilities with a business friendly and pragmatic mindset while maintaining a commensurate balance of legal risk. - Energetic, authentic, and friendly with a great sense of humor; capable of displaying strong negotiation skills and the ability to support difficult positions in a firm and patient manner. - Effective communicator with the ability to interact with both internal and external professionals of all types and backgrounds. - Experience with contract management systems and privacy a plus.
