Associate Manager, Billing Operations – Strategy

Coinbase

• Own day-to-day billing operations for Custody and Prime, including invoicing accuracy, the monthly close, and the billing ticket queue. • Lead and develop the billing operations team and coordinate BPO support. • Drive billing and collections automation, including AI-assisted drafting and ticket triage, to improve cycle time, cost, and quality. • Partner with Revenue Accounting, FP&A, Engineering, and Sales on billing systems and the migration from Salesforce to the Prime platform. • Execute and maintain evidence for billing-related SOX controls.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in billing, revenue, or finance operations, including direct process ownership.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teammates and managing operational queues to SLA.
  • Strong command of billing and invoicing systems and reconciliation, with hands-on experience in NetSuite, Salesforce, or comparable tools.
  • Track record of improving operational processes through automation and tooling.
  • Working familiarity with SOX controls and the financial close.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
