• Lead the research and storytelling at the core of JUST Stories Phase II • Identify, research, and produce immersive, evidence-based narratives • Conduct rigorous literature and landscape reviews on decarbonisation across sectors • Design and implement ethical interview and engagement processes • Produce publication-quality stories that integrate human narrative and analytical insight

• Identify a long-list of real-time examples of people-centred decarbonisation • Produce 2-3 deeply researched, field-based stories • Produce immersive multi-format outputs for each story • Conduct rigorous literature and landscape reviews • Design and implement ethical, high-quality interview processes • Ensure adherence to IHRB’s ethical guidelines for field research • Collaborate with communications colleagues to produce accompanying outputs • Contribute to IHRB’s broader just transitions knowledge base

• Design and lead an action research process grounded in early and ongoing engagement with: Banks, investors, and DFIs; Insurance and reinsurance actors; Public finance institutions; Community leaders innovating around resilience-building. • Develop a framework mapping the spectrum of adaptation finance. • Identify and analyse real-world cases across African contexts, including financial instruments supporting adaptation. • Lead drafting of a flagship report targeted at financial institutions, insurance actors, policymakers and donors.
