Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). - 4+ years of professional experience building production web applications with Angular (Angular 12+ preferred; Angular 16/17+ a strong plus). - Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Angular fundamentals: components, modules/standalone APIs, DI, services, pipes, directives, guards, and interceptors. - Strong understanding of RxJS (observables, operators, multicasting, error handling, cancellation) and reactive UI patterns. - Deep knowledge of Angular performance: change detection strategies (OnPush), async pipe patterns, zone.js considerations, signals (if applicable), trackBy, and rendering optimization. - Experience with Angular routing, forms, and validation: Reactive Forms, custom validators, form performance, and UX patterns. - Familiarity with SSR and deployment patterns: Angular Universal / SSR, hydration, caching, and security considerations. - Experience with testing and quality: Jasmine/Karma or Jest, Angular Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright, linting, CI/CD. - Minimum C1 English proficiency (written and spoken), with the ability to write clear technical explanations and follow detailed English-language guidelines. - Proven experience conducting detailed code reviews and enforcing coding standards for maintainability, correctness, and accessibility. - Previous experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluating AI-generated technical content is a strong plus. - Highly detail-oriented and systematic, with a methodical approach to evaluating reasoning quality and identifying subtle issues in complex UI code. Role Description As our product ecosystem continues to grow, we are investing in the foundations that enable frontend teams to build faster, more consistently, and at scale. For this reason, our Platform Architecture & Developer Productivity team is looking for a Senior Frontend Developer who will play a key role in sustainably strengthening frontend development at JTL. In this role, you will support other frontend teams by defining standards and best practices, providing templates, and developing central libraries that make everyday development more productive. In addition, you will act as an advisor to our frontend developers, help with the adoption of our guidelines, and contribute to ensuring a consistent, efficient, and modern frontend landscape at JTL. Your Responsibilities - You develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for frontend development at JTL. - You create and maintain templates, boilerplates, and libraries that help other teams work more productively and efficiently. - You support frontend teams in adopting and using these guidelines, templates, and tools. - You ensure a high-performance and scalable development environment using modern toolchains (Vite, turborepo, pnpm). - You regularly evaluate new technologies (e.g., TanStackRouter, Jotai, TanStackQuery) and assess their value for our frontend landscape. - You support the bootstrapping of new frontend projects and ensure that our standards, best practices, and efficient toolchains are applied from the start. Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development. - Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern build tools (Vite, turborepo). - Experience with design systems and component-based development (Storybook, TailwindCSS). - Hands-on experience with modern state management libraries (Jotai). - Strong understanding of API integration and data fetching with TanStackQuery. - Experience with routing solutions such as TanStackRouter. - Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright). - Confident in using Git and collaborative workflows (pull requests, code reviews). - Knowledge of performance optimization and accessibility in web applications. - Strong communication skills in German and English.
