Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death and the #1 cost driver in U.S. healthcare. This role will lead the development and growth of the cardiology product portfolio within Optum Health Solutions. You will shape how Optum addresses one of the largest unmet needs in the healthcare system, driving a product from early-stage development through pilot and into scaled delivery. Primary Responsibilities: - Own the cardiology product vision, roadmap, and business case - translating a large, early-stage opportunity across multiple cardiovascular conditions into an executable, phased product strategy with clear investment milestones - Identify, validate, and size value levers that drive measurable clinical outcomes, cost savings, and member experience improvements across the cardiology portfolio - Lead end-to-end solution design across multiple product capabilities and care delivery models, with accountability for delivering quantifiable results - Build and refine the financial model - develop a defensible business case and value framework that connects value levers to expected outcomes and supports long-term investment decisions - Define and track outcome metrics - establish the KPIs, clinical benchmarks, and financial targets that measure whether the product is delivering real value to members, clients, and the enterprise - Partner with clinical, growth, and enterprise teams to translate strategy into clear product requirements, care model designs, and performance measures - Evaluate the market landscape and develop a clear point of view on build, partner, and leverage options to accelerate time to market - Define and execute the pilot approach - identify target populations, provider partners, success metrics, and go-to-market sequencing from initial use cases through full solution delivery - Manage cross-functional initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, influencing, and rigorous analysis across a complex, matrixed organization - Mentor and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in a product management role - 6+ years of experience leading senior product teams (Directors, Managers) with accountability for enterprise-level outcomes - 5+ years supporting stakeholder and executive-level communications - Experience in leading cross-functional projects in complex, matrix organizations - Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under tight timelines and ambiguity - Experience taking a product from concept through pilot and scaled launch Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in health plan management (network, operations, clinical) - cardiology or specialty care experience - Familiarity with utilization management programs or clinical review processes - Experience with virtual care delivery models, remote patient monitoring, or digital health product development - Experience owning or influencing enterprise P&L and long-term investment strategies - Demonstrated success leading enterprise transformation initiatives across multiple product domains - Proven knowledge of cardiovascular clinical pathways *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $134,600 to $230,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
