JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University is seeking enthusiastic and responsible students to join our team as Student Ambassadors. The Ambassadors will have the opportunity to specialize in focus areas including Leadership Development, Social Media Marketing, Volunteer Management, and other areas and duties as assigned. Job Duties: Related job duties and hours vary but may include: - Support departmental outreach activities (local travel), and student engagement, not limited to the University Park campus. - Communicate effectively with event organizers, faculty coordinators, and other parties. - Ensure events run smoothly by addressing any issues that arise promptly. - Assist in coordinating volunteer events and service projects, including recruitment, logistics, and promotion. - Ensure all service and civic engagement initiatives prioritize inclusion, belonging, and accessibility. Requirements and Qualifications: - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. - Previous experience in event planning or student organizations is a plus but not required. - Strong work ethic, customer service skills, the ability to take initiative. These positions are short in duration and part time without benefits. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and reviewed as need arises.
