Job Description
Senior Cloud Engineer – Platform Engineer
SelectLine Software Gmbh
• You will further develop the cloud platform as a whole — shared services, networking, firewall, and site connectivity — based on existing structures and conventions. • You will build and operate Azure Virtual Desktop environments and provide Windows images on which our ERP systems run in the cloud. • You will translate business unit service requests into Terraform modules, deploy them into existing stacks, and document them in a reproducible way. • You will support migrations of acquired companies — from analysis of on‑prem workloads to the target cloud architecture. • You will expand the monitoring, security and observability stack (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Defender) and establish backup, recovery and audit mechanisms. • You will actively contribute to our architecture standards and ADRs and help evolve them as part of the team.
Job Requirements
- You are proficient and productive with Terraform.
- You have a deep understanding of Azure platform architecture (subscriptions, VNets, identity, RBAC, private endpoints) and think in terms of Azure Well‑Architected principles.
- You have experience with Azure Virtual Desktop — setup, image management and operations.
- You enjoy working within existing architectures, reading into existing codebases and conventions, and evolving them sensibly.
- You have a basic understanding of on‑prem environments in small and medium‑sized enterprises to analyse migration projects properly (no ERP domain expertise required).
- You work in a structured, service‑ and results‑oriented way and communicate technical matters clearly.
- You have very good German and good English, both written and spoken.
- Bonus (not a showstopper): Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑305) or HashiCorp Terraform Associate, experience with Azure DevOps and ITSM workflows, and confident use of Claude Code, Copilot or other agentic AI tools in an infrastructure context.
Benefits
- In‑house platform role within a growing corporate group — no customer projects, no billing pressure, no travel.
- Real influence on architecture and standards with short decision paths to team leadership and executive management.
- Structured onboarding with internal mentoring and time to get familiar with the platform and codebase.
- Remote work within Germany, 30 days of annual leave, mobility package including JobRad, and modern hardware of your choice.
- Growth through targeted acquisitions of ERP‑related companies — a profitable core business with the IT platform acting as an enabler.
