Role Description This is an exciting time to be part of Promevo as we are growing rapidly. We are seeking a Principal Architect who will be responsible for designing complex cloud solutions for both internal and external client projects. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping enterprise clients understand and implement Google Cloud solutions to achieve their business objectives. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of the client’s business challenges, coupled with the ability to articulate the value of our cloud consulting and implementation services. - Define and govern the technical standards and best practices for Google Cloud Platform implementations across the Professional Services organization. - Design solution architecture based on GCP services and other systems integration. - Present technical recommendations to clients based upon business value drivers and return on investment; drives new technologies towards implementation. - Establish overall architecture vision and ensures specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged. - Contributes to components of architecture strategy and vision for both internal and external clients. - Obtain/Maintain GCP Certification. - Supports and champions efforts with cross-functional knowledge (e.g., strategy, change management, business process management). - Works with solution architects to direct projects to understand enterprise level architecture strategy, technology stack and identifies future direction, gaps, and roadmap. - Act as a single point of contact to clients on consulting engagements and lead development projects. - Mentor junior developers/consultants and assist with quality in delivery. - Assist sales teams on solutioning for presales, and sales material/proposals and present solutions to clients. - Collaborate with Google engineers to understand new service offerings and assist to develop new capabilities for our Professional Services organization. - Uphold and demonstrate behavior consistent with our Core Values. Qualifications - Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. - Experience in cloud platforms and migrations preferably on GCP but extensive experience in AWS and/or Azure can be considered. - Consulting experience working with multiple clients. - Java development experience. - JavaScript Frameworks. - Serverless Architecture and Platform as a Service deployments. - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. - A positive outlook, a passion for development and the ability to work as part of a high-performance team. - Cross-functional knowledge (e.g., strategy, change management, business process management). - Experience in IT security standards. - Obtain/Maintain GCP Certification; specifically, possess the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification or complete the requirement within 6 months of hire. - Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture practices and Solution Architecture. - Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes. - Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies. - Practical knowledge and experience with Agile and SAFE principles and processes. Preferred Qualifications - Analytic or Business intelligence skills. - Experience with implementation of BigQuery. - Consulting experience working with multiple clients. - Deep experience in one or more technology focus areas, including Data Engineering and Analysis, Security Configuration, or AI. - Knowledge of Google Cloud and Collaboration Products. Role Description We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to act as the technical builder responsible for deploying, managing, and automating complex Google Cloud solutions for both internal and external client projects. In this role, you will work across a wide variety of cloud domains—including networking, compute, storage, and CI/CD—while ensuring that every environment you build is inherently secure. Beyond deploying core infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), you will be instrumental in configuring the critical identity, access, and logging foundations required for enterprise-grade, secure-by-design deployments. Duties and Responsibilities - Core Infrastructure & Automation - Infrastructure Deployment: Design, build, and maintain highly available GCP architectures (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, VPCs, Cloud Storage) using Infrastructure as Code (primarily Terraform). - Automation & CI/CD: Assist in building and maintaining deployment pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning and application rollouts. - GCP Project Provisioning: Set up foundational cloud environments, including establishing organizational policies, creating logical folder structures, and configuring baseline resource hierarchies. - Identity, Access & Security - Federated Identity Management: Configure and troubleshoot integrations and establish Google Workforce Identity Federation to allow external IdPs secure access to GCP resources. - Security Controls: Implement robust IAM and security controls, ensuring least-privilege access across service accounts, users, and groups. - Network Security: Configure firewalls, VPC peering, Cloud NAT, and basic network security protocols to protect client workloads. - Observability & Operations - Monitoring & Logging Setup: Deploy comprehensive observability tools using Cloud Monitoring to ensure system health, performance, and uptime. - Audit & Compliance: Configure Cloud Logging to capture, route, and retain system and security events, ensuring centralized audit trails for compliance. - Troubleshooting: Act as an escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, network, and IAM-related issues. Qualifications - Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent experience. - Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience provisioning and managing infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Core GCP Knowledge: Strong understanding of fundamental GCP services (VPC Networking, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Load Balancing). - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in writing and deploying infrastructure using Terraform. - Identity & Security: Practical experience configuring IAM roles, organizational policies, and SSO/Identity Federation. - Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts in Python, Bash, or Go. - Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and infrastructure designs to clients and internal Project Managers. - A positive outlook, a passion for development and the ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
