Role Description As the Vice President of Product Management at Coursera, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learner journey from onboarding through renewal. You will be responsible for creating a cohesive, engaging, and personalized user experience that encourages lifelong learning and builds a strong relationship between learners and the platform. Your leadership will drive key improvements in acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention metrics. This role requires a visionary leader who can work cross-functionally to design and implement a platform that leverages AI to craft deeply personal learning experiences. You will directly manage a team of 12 Product Managers and need to influence key stakeholders across design, engineering, data, and enterprise functions. Key Responsibilities - Develop and articulate a comprehensive long-term strategic vision that spans the entire learner journey, from initial website interaction through to renewal, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and personalized experience that fosters sustained learner loyalty. - Create and execute innovative strategies for learner acquisition, conversion, and retention, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize the user experience across multiple touchpoints. - Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive product roadmap, fostering collaboration across product, marketing, engineering, design, and data teams. - Lead and mentor a diverse team of Product Managers, cultivating a high-performance culture that emphasizes growth, promotion, and sustained career development. - Drive the implementation of pricing, packaging, and monetization strategies to boost growth and profitability. - Utilize market and consumer data to inform strategic product decisions, fostering regular feedback mechanisms from users and stakeholders to meet evolving needs. - Oversee the product development lifecycle from ideation to market launch, ensuring successful adoption and iterative improvements based on post-launch analyses. Qualifications - A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of spearheading product-led growth initiatives and funnel optimization at a strategic level. - A minimum of 10 years in leadership and management, with a demonstrated history of successfully leading and nurturing teams of product managers, as well as cross-functional teams, with a strong emphasis on fostering a positive, high-performance team culture. - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify actionable insights to improve funnel performance. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and strategies to a variety of stakeholders, both in writing and in presentations. - Expertise in project management methodologies, with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from ideation to launch. - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on strategic initiatives that have driven significant business growth and customer acquisition through funnel optimization and product enhancements. - Strong product mindset, with a focus on understanding customer needs and using data to design and iterate on product features that drive growth and optimization within the funnel. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, data, engineering, or mathematics, or equivalent work experience in a technical role.
