Role Description The Senior Product Manager will independently lead product strategy and execution in alignment with company strategies by leveraging and contributing to company frameworks such as OKRs/OGSPs. This role owns development and communication of the long-term vision and goals that drive the strategy for a portfolio of products, features, and tools, and will drive cross-functional alignment to execute against that vision. This role will have expanded influence through the identification and delivery of business value, and collaboration with a wide set of cross-functional and business-centric peers. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: - Set the overall direction for the product(s) and ensure it aligns with the organization’s goals and user needs. - Guide products through the full product lifecycle, including product and market research, customer analysis, planning, requirements and roadmap development, product launch, and product lifecycle management. - Develop, track and report on product strategy and team KPIs. - Drive loosely-framed and somewhat ambiguous product initiatives independently. - Set and communicate clear expectations for their team roadmap, both internally within the team and with stakeholders in the company. - Create cross-functional alignment needed to execute on projects. - Direct the agile methodology and operations of the team. - Engage productively in engineering conversations and understand architectural tradeoffs to intuit the right decisions. - Recommend technical approaches from previous experience or knowledge of emerging practices. - Use data, user feedback, and market research to prioritize product backlogs, addressing the most valuable improvements first. - Make informed decisions about product strategy, feature prioritization, and areas for improvement using metrics and data to determine how products are performing. Qualifications - 5-8 years of product management experience or related field. - Several years of proven experience in product management or a related field, with a track record of successful product launches and cross-functional team leadership. - Experience building and owning a product roadmap. - Structured and data-driven thinking with a strong bias to action. - Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills. - Strong empathy and intuition for our learners and customers. - Experience with agile software development. - Desire to improve access to education around the world. - Strong understanding of technical concepts.
