Role Description We are sharing a specialised remote consulting opportunity for senior insights, consumer research, market intelligence, and business insights leaders based in the United States, with deep experience shaping executive-level reporting, strategic recommendations, and decision-support materials for senior leadership teams. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on executive report quality, insight communication, strategic recommendation evaluation, business reasoning review, and C-suite-ready reporting standards. Selected professionals may help define what excellent executive reporting looks like, create and review high-quality reports addressing complex business questions, and evaluate research and reporting workflows for clarity, rigor, logic, and executive readiness. Key Responsibilities - Executive Report Framework Development - Define standards for high-quality executive reports, strategic recommendations, and senior leadership communications. - Establish best practices for insight communication, executive storytelling, recommendation development, and decision support. - Help create evaluation rubrics that distinguish exceptional, average, and poor-quality business outputs. - Contribute senior-level judgment on what makes a report credible, actionable, strategically relevant, and ready for executive audiences. - Report Writing & Review - Analyse complex business questions and assess whether reports directly support executive decision-making. - Produce and review decision-ready reports comparable to deliverables presented to C-suite and senior leadership teams. - Evaluate whether reports answer the right business questions, use evidence appropriately, and develop clear recommendations. - Review storyline, structure, insight quality, recommendation strength, and practical business relevance. - Research, Reasoning & Output Evaluation - Review research and reporting workflows for consistency of reasoning, recommendation quality, and analytical accuracy. - Evaluate outputs across accuracy of analysis, strength of conclusions, appropriateness of confidence assessments, and executive readiness. - Identify gaps in logic, unsupported claims, unclear recommendations, or weak evidence interpretation. - Provide detailed feedback, scoring rationale, and quality guidance for improvement. - Strategic Insights & Decision Support - Apply senior insights leadership experience to evaluate whether business analysis supports meaningful strategic decisions. - Assess whether findings are framed clearly for executive stakeholders and business leaders. - Review how insights connect to market dynamics, customer behaviour, category context, competitive considerations, and business priorities. - Help ensure final deliverables meet enterprise-level standards for strategic insight and executive communication. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, market intelligence, strategy, research, business insights leadership, or related functions. - Current or former Director, Senior Director, VP, Head of Insights, Head of Consumer Insights, Head of Market Intelligence, or equivalent leadership role. - Experience leading insights functions within a Fortune 100 company or similarly large enterprise. - Extensive experience presenting research findings and recommendations to executive leadership teams. - Proven track record influencing strategic business decisions through research, analysis, and insight communication. - Strong ability to evaluate report quality, reasoning strength, executive readiness, and strategic usefulness. - Excellent written communication skills and ability to explain evaluation decisions clearly. - Current location in the United States. Educational Background - A degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Data Analytics, Strategy, or a related field is helpful. - MBA, advanced degree, or equivalent senior insights leadership experience is especially relevant. - Equivalent professional experience in consumer insights, market intelligence, corporate strategy, business research, or executive decision support is also highly relevant. Nice to Have - Experience across CPG, healthcare, pharma, financial services, retail, technology, or consumer sectors. - Experience presenting directly to C-suite executives, executive committees, business unit leaders, or senior leadership teams. - Experience leading enterprise insights functions, market intelligence teams, research teams, or strategic analytics groups. - Experience evaluating research quality, executive reports, strategic recommendations, or senior-level business deliverables. - Familiarity with executive storytelling, insight synthesis, market research, customer research, brand strategy, competitive intelligence, or decision-support frameworks. Contract Details - Independent contractor engagement. - Fully remote and flexible scheduling. - Eligible candidates must be based in the United States. - Initial engagement length is approximately 1 month, with potential extension depending on project needs. - Expected commitment includes approximately 40 hours during the first week for training, calibration, and framework development. - After the first week, expected commitment is approximately 15 hours per week for the remainder of the engagement. - Compensation may reach up to $220/hour, depending on project scope, experience, credentials, and fit. - Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered. - Projects may be extended, shortened, adjusted, or concluded based on project needs and performance. - Candidates requiring H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship support are not eligible at this time. - Work must not involve sharing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
