Title: Entry/Junior CAD Designer Location: Bothell, Bellevue, North Bend, Kent, or Puyallup, WA United States JOb Type: part-time Job Description: [Job Description] A large reputable utility company is currently hiring for an Entry/Junior CAD Designer to support the Pole Services team for streetlighting and telecom attachment projects. This employee will be brought in to be trained over a 12-18 month period by being assigned to projects of gradually increasing complexity, before being transitioned into a full-time permanent employee. This employee can sit at any of the local clients' offices: Bothell, Bellevue, North Bend, Kent, or Puyallup. For any employees who are currently enrolled in school, they will be given the option to work a flexible part-time schedule. Pay - $35/hr. - $40/hr. Location - 100% Onsite in Bothell, Bellevue, North Bend, Kent, or Puyallup, WA Contract Duration - 12-Month Contract To Start (Possibility for Extension or Conversion) [Responsibilities] - Support technical requirements related to structural engineering design for distribution and transmission poles. - Apply CAD/AUD design fundamentals to develop plans for streetlight, wireless, and wireline pole attachments. - Collaborate with customers to define and document pole attachment requirements for streetlights, wireless devices, and wireline cables. - Analyze technical requirements and translate them into actionable make-ready work plans. [Qualification Requirements] - 0-1+ years of experience with CAD. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Related Field. - Comfortability with Autodesk (AUD) is a bonus, but not required. - Great positive and hungry mindset for growth (very important). - Ability to communicate professionally and willingness to learn the technicalities of the role. - Must be comfortable submitting to a drug test (including THC testing) upon onboarding [Employee Value Proposition] - Exceptional opportunity to join one of the highly reputable energy and utilities companies in WA. - Opportunity to learn and grow in the distribution and transmission pole design. - Opportunity to convert to a permanent employee.
