Role Description This role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, and can be conducted 100% remotely. - Professional procurement/supply chain role in support of a Business Sector with over $6 billion in annual revenue. - Procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services based on program-specific requirements and specifications. - Develop purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements, and terms and conditions. - Lead procurement activities and assigned commodities for sourcing complex programs. - Help develop, support, and execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend, demand, and supply challenges. - Prepare/review proposals, develop evaluation criteria, select or recommend suppliers, and create electronic purchase orders (ePO) files. - Negotiate additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders and resolve invoicing issues. - Follow and execute established procurement policies and procedures to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements. - Responsible for Procurement Compliance and Cost/Price Analysis. - Emphasizes supplier engagement, management, development, and production ramp-up. - Must be an effective communicator, build mutually beneficial business relationships, and advance knowledge of procurement compliance. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience. - Interest in gaining knowledge in buying across various commodities (electronics, mechanical, PWB’s, cables, optics). - Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers. - Project/Supplier Management or applicable experience in an equivalent context. - Financial acumen in quoting, P&L, and operating margin. - Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system. - Established proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). - Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams. - Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and flow down requirements. - Knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations. - Understanding of CPSR audits and requirements. - Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process. Requirements - 2 or more years’ experience in operations, supply chain, or procurement. - Understanding of defense aerospace industry & regulations and the role of procurement. - Working knowledge of multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environments. - Desire for continuous improvement. - Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment. - Generosity of thought and knowledge. - Moderate Technical Acumen (Ability to interpret drawing requirements).
