Role Description The Network Services Manager is responsible for executing the strategic roadmap for enterprise network services, including the implementation of new capabilities and the daily management of network infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of all network systems across data centers, wide-area networks (WANs), local-area networks (LANs), wireless networks, and cloud environments. The Manager leads a blended team of full-time employees, contractors, and managed service providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective network services across business units. This role also focuses on mentoring junior staff, fostering career growth, and aligning team capabilities with evolving technologies and strategic shifts—particularly in cloud networking, automation, and security. Responsibilities - Execute and support the strategic vision for enterprise network services, including cloud-based infrastructure. - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, such as Zero Trust architecture, SD-WAN, and cloud-native networking solutions. - Lead deployment of automation tools to reduce manual tasks and improve service reliability. - Serve as a key escalation point for critical incidents affecting network operations. - Collaborate with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align network capabilities with organizational needs. - Oversee the design, implementation, and support of LAN, WAN, wireless, data center, and cloud network infrastructure. - Ensure network security by enforcing policies, complying with regulatory standards, and participating in audits and assessments. - Manage network capacity planning, performance tuning, and observability. - Assist in budget planning, vendor negotiations, and contract management for network services. - Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Cloud Technology & Management Focus - Support integration of SaaS platforms. - Manage Azure-hosted infrastructure, including disaster recovery environments and external IP routing. - Participate in cloud vendor risk assessments and ensure alignment with internal security and compliance standards. - Contribute to strategic initiatives such as Zero Trust Network, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Network Detection Response (NDR) deployments. Supervisory Responsibilities - Directly manages the Network Operations team, including network administrators, specialists, and external service providers. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) and/or ten years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. - A professional certification, such as a CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, and Security+. Requirements - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Deep understanding of network architecture, including cloud networking (e.g., Azure, AWS), SD-WAN, and hybrid environments. - Experience with network automation, scripting, and observability tools. - Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and network management platforms. - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. - Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI, NIST, FFIEC) and security best practices. - Willingness and ability to take initiative. - Able to organize and prioritize work. - Ability to successfully meet goals in a highly fluid work environment.
