PDS Sourcing Specialist – Construction

• Develops and executes sourcing strategies for construction materials, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and professional services required for workplace projects. • Conducts market research to identify qualified suppliers and emerging market trends. • Manages competitive bidding processes including RFP/RFQ development, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation. • Analyzes total cost of ownership to drive value beyond initial pricing. • Builds and maintains relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and service providers across relevant categories. • Evaluates vendor performance through scorecards and KPIs, addressing performance issues proactively. • Develops preferred vendor lists and framework agreements to streamline procurement for project teams. • Manages end-to-end procurement processes for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. • Develops cost models and benchmarking data to support project budgeting and estimating. • Partners closely with Project Delivery Specialists, design teams, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain roles, preferably within construction, real estate, or facility management industries.
- CPSM, CPM, or similar procurement certification preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and tools (SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar platforms).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, furniture systems, and workplace equipment categories.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Advanced Excel skills for spend analysis and cost modeling.
- Understanding of contract law and commercial terms.
