As part of continued growth, we're looking for a commercially minded Sales Development Representative (SDR) to take ownership of outbound prospecting, lead qualification and pipeline generation. This role sits at the front end of the sales process, helping to generate qualified opportunities across higher education, vocational education and training providers throughout Australia and New Zealand. You'll work closely with sales, marketing and customer success teams to ensure every opportunity is followed up effectively and progressed through the pipeline. This is a genuine hunter-style role with a blend of new business development, account expansion and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities - Execute outbound prospecting campaigns via phone, email and LinkedIn - Generate and qualify new sales opportunities across Australia and New Zealand - Follow up and convert marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) - Use qualification frameworks such as BANT to assess opportunities - Book high-quality discovery meetings for the sales team - Engage with senior stakeholders within universities, colleges and education providers - Identify opportunities for expansion within existing customer accounts - Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity tracking - Collaborate with marketing to improve campaign effectiveness and lead conversion - Represent the business at conferences, events and industry meetings when required Qualifications - 1–3 years' experience in an SDR, BDR, Inside Sales or Business Development role - Experience in SaaS, EdTech, Technology or a similar consultative sales environment - Strong communication and relationship-building skills - Confidence making outbound calls and initiating conversations - Understanding of sales methodologies and qualification frameworks (BANT preferred) - Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently - Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills - Coachable mindset with a willingness to learn and develop Nice to Have - Experience selling into Higher Education, Further Education or Public Sector organisations - Knowledge of APAC markets - Experience using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar CRM tools - Exposure to multi-stakeholder sales cycles Benefits - A$70,000 base salary plus A$30,000 OTE - Fully remote flexibility with occasional travel - Opportunity to work with leading universities and education providers - Exposure to the growing EdTech and SaaS sector - Clear pathway towards future Account Executive opportunities - Supportive leadership team with ongoing coaching and development - Chance to play a key role in expanding an established APAC presence
• Execute outbound prospecting for defined ICP accounts and target personas • Engage Maintenance Managers, Reliability Engineers, Operations leaders and SAP/IT stakeholders • Conduct structured, high-activity cadences across multiple channels such as phone, email and LinkedIn to generate real conversations • Personalize outreach based on industry, role and operational context • Perform initial discovery and qualify opportunities for the Sales team • Follow up on marketing campaigns, webinars and industry events • Keep the CRM up to date and ensure organized handoffs to Account Executives • Actively participate in training, role-plays and call reviews • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Marketing teams
