• Design and develop a range of learning content including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, job aids, video scripts, and assessments • Take existing briefs, slide decks, and source materials and transform them into dynamic, engaging learning experiences that drive real behavior change • Partner with the enablement team to translate content and curriculum strategy into actionable, field-ready learning assets, bridging the gap between strategic vision and finished training materials • Partner closely with subject matter experts across sales, product marketing, and revenue operations to gather, structure, and validate content • Build courses in Articulate Rise, creating interactive, visually compelling modules optimized for a modern learner experience • Concept, script, and produce microvideos that deliver focused, bite-sized learning on key topics, from product walkthroughs to sales skill reinforcement • Apply instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, or similar) to ensure all programs are grounded in clear learning objectives and measurable outcomes • Build and manage content in our LMS, ensuring a seamless and intuitive learner experience • Create interactive and scenario-based learning experiences that reflect real selling situations our reps encounter in the field • Develop certification programs, quizzes, and knowledge checks to assess comprehension and reinforce key behaviors • Maintain and update existing content as products, messaging, and processes evolve • Collaborate with the broader enablement team to support live training sessions with well-designed materials, slide decks, and facilitation guides • Track content engagement and learning outcomes, using data to continuously improve program effectiveness

• Own onboarding for dbt Labs’ largest and most strategic customers, driving early adoption and time-to-value • Guide customers through account setup, aligning on goals, timelines, and best practices • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including senior executives • Partner cross-functionally to deliver a cohesive, high-quality onboarding experience • Help prospective customers determine the right onboarding and services approach • Adapt and refine onboarding programs to meet regional and segment-specific needs • Balance speed and scale while maintaining a high-touch, customer-centric experience

Role Description We’re seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Instructor with a passion for teaching and working with data to join our training team to setup Enterprise customers and partners for success with dbt to empower data developers to create and disseminate organisational knowledge. What You'll Do - Deliver live, world-class instruction to train and onboard dbt Cloud customers, partners, and GSIs in small (~10), large groups (up to ~30) and webinar audiences (50 - 200). - Create an engaging learning environment initially in a remote context (on Zoom!) and likely in person in the future. - Get learners excited about using dbt Cloud to make an impact at their organization. - Clearly teach and demo new concepts and skills for learners. - Facilitate live co-development sessions where learners apply what they have learned. - Adjust instruction on the fly while focusing on learner outcomes. - Provide critical feedback from your classroom experience to improve curriculum changes. - Become a product expert with dbt in the context of the modern data stack (if you aren’t already). - Jump in on other education projects including curriculum development and improving our workflows. Qualifications - You have 4+ years experience teaching with some data analytics experience OR 4+ years of data analytics experience with some teaching. - You have experience writing SQL in an analytics context. - You love teaching and creating those lightbulb moments for learners. - You create learning environments with high levels of engagement. - You are laser focused on learner and customer outcomes while adjusting instruction on the fly. - You believe teaching is a craft that we can always get better at and actively seek out feedback. - You communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders. - You thrive in an environment of cross-collaboration that moves quickly. Requirements - You have worked on customer education / training teams and know how training can drive outcomes for customers. - You have experience using dbt and/or teaching dbt. - You have experience writing analytics code (i.e. python, R, etc.) in addition to SQL and working with databases. - You have experience designing curricula with a focus on backwards design. • Serve as the primary point of contact for GCP and Databricks across EMEA. • Build the strategy and execution plan for the region delivering new pipe generation and joint capability. Ultimately maximising closed won ARR. • Onboard new GCP and Databricks teams to the joint value proposition. Providing education on our product offerings, partnership tools, and processes. Directing teams to self-serve where necessary. • Maintain regular communication through scalable channels with partners’ teams, their customers and the partner community within the Geography. Example hands on labs, newsletters, webinars, and email campaigns. • Develop and maintain detailed QBR planning and a business plan that holds strong Executive followership. • Continually drive the improvement of our overall partner program with suggestions to our head of operations and regional VP.

• Design, operate, and scale storage based infrastructure systems across multiple tenancy models (single vs. multi-tenant) and public clouds (AWS, Azure, and GCP). • Deepen our team’s expertise in one more areas including: relational databases, search, caching, queuing, and streaming - helping strengthen platform scalability, security, and developer experience. • Partner with Architecture, Release Engineering, Network, Compute, and Security teams to provide a seamless platform for application teams. • Leverage tools and languages such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, Python, SQL, Go, Bash, and Datadog. • Participate in a balanced on-call rotation in an environment that values continuous improvement, helping to improve reliability and reduce operational toil.

• Design, build, and maintain core features of MetricFlow, including metric definitions, query compilation, dimensional modeling, and SQL generation across multiple data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, and others). • Own MetricFlow as an open-source project — triage issues, review external pull requests, manage releases, and engage the community on GitHub and in Slack. • Collaborate with engineers across dbt Cloud, dbt Core, and the Semantic Layer service to ensure MetricFlow integrates seamlessly with the rest of the dbt ecosystem. • Improve performance, reliability, and observability of metric query execution at scale. • Partner with product, design, and developer-relations teammates to translate customer and community feedback into shipped improvements. • Write clear technical documentation, RFCs, and design docs that raise the bar for how the team thinks and ships. • Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance.

• Build, manage and close your own pipeline of companies that you believe will benefit from the dbt Cloud offering. • Manage, and deepen the dbt Cloud footprint in existing accounts, optimizing our impact on these companies. • Engage with technology partners and ecosystem service providers to optimize our impact and reach in the region. • Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process. • Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap.

• Build, lead, and coach a team of 8-12 engineers to manage the infrastructure for the dbt platform and report to the Director of Infrastructure • Empower your team to achieve big goals by giving them product and business context and supporting team ownership of the roadmap, product development lifecycle, and technical excellence. • Dive deep into our product to frame tradeoffs and make decisions about what, how, and when we build. • Partner with Product Marketing, Solutions Architecture, and Customer Support to build delightful migration experiences, helping our customers seamlessly move off legacy deployments. • Coach engineers in product thinking, quality, and software engineering. Build individualized growth plans and match interests and capabilities to team goals. • Work with peer managers to evolve organizational processes like product training, technical decision making, project execution, and planning.
