Payroll Specialist

Point Wild (Formerly Pango Group)

• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. • Process multiple biweekly payrolls for salaried and hourly employees: entering employee data changes, reviewing time and attendance data, auditing information and ensuring proper documentation. • Liaise with payroll vendors to continue satisfactory performance. • Maintain appropriate payroll files to ensure compliance with company practices and manage requests for information during Financial audits. • Identify and resolve all compensation matters regarding payroll processing including W-2 and multi-state tax inquiries, bonus and commission processing, taxable fringe benefits, and wage garnishments. • Respond to employee inquiries around all things payroll. • Coordinate tax calculations and filing activities per IRS and various state agencies. Monitor and maintain various state tax sites with up-to-date information. • Maintain payroll data to ensure integrity. • Coordinate benefit enrollments and carrier feeds with People team. • Process employee data/payroll reporting as needed. • Respond to verifications of employment. • Process stock option compensation and withholding taxes • Maintain employee information in Carta

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in processing payroll.
  • Payroll experience in complex corporate environments (ie; portfolio companies).
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now, Workday and Carta.
  • Knowledge of general human resource practices and policies including applicable state and federal laws pertaining to areas of responsibility.
