Program Manager, Value Analyst
Oregon Health & Science University Foundation
• Provide analytical and data driven recommendations to the Value Analysis Committees regarding cost savings, product/service standardization, quality improvement, or operational efficiencies. • Work in concert with sourcing/contracting to achieve best value for OHSU. • Document savings generated from cost savings initiatives. • Responsible for participating in achieving the annual healthcare savings goal of approximately $5,000,000 per fiscal year. • Act as a liaison between Logistics, OHSU departments, vendors, senior administration, and Group Purchasing Organization. • Manage Value Analysis Committee for established commodity groups by planning and facilitating committee meetings and communications. • Represent Logistics on other decision-making, planning, and investigative committees as needed. • Monitor current market for established commodity groups and analyze for opportunities based on cost savings, product/service standardization, quality improvement, or operational efficiencies. • Fully understand Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contract portfolio and program offerings. • Watch market trends for new technologies or changes in standards that may yield value to OHSU. • Provide leadership and coordination on product conversions. • Utilize advanced project management tools to create, track, and manage project tasks, time constraints, and physical and personnel resources. • Screens, analyzes, and processes all new product requests submitted to each Value Analysis Committee. • Ensure compliance of all new stocked product requests with current standardization and cost containment initiatives. • Analyze purchase options and sourcing for new product requests to assess value of request. • Develop and lead end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery of initiatives. • Identify and communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams consistently and transparently. • Define and build common processes across multiple teams. • Create change management and communication plans to drive adoption of new initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nursing, or other field related to the position OR Three (3) additional years of relevant experience.
- Five (5) years of progressive responsibility in purchasing or contracting with project management experience, OR clinical setting with demonstrated medical product proficiency or medical product selection, from either a care provider or sales position perspective.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with OHSU staff and vendors, in a variety of situations including negotiation, internal program sales, and committee management.
- Analytical skills required for problem solving, contract analysis, financial analysis, and contract development.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of medical terminology and medical supply product knowledge.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of spreadsheet and database systems.
- Strong negotiation skills necessary in order to obtain the best value for OHSU.

Job Title Program Manager – Battlefield Staff Rides Location Germany (Grafenwöhr/Vilseck area preferred) Employment Type Full-time Description This position is contingent upon contract award. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee the U.S. Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF) Battlefield Staff Rides program. This unique leadership development program uses European battlefields as living classrooms to develop military leaders through historical study, terrain analysis, and professional discussion. The Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of program delivery, including instructor coordination, logistics management, quality control, and client relations with U.S. military units across the European theater. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, deep knowledge of military history, and the ability to manage complex multi-day educational events across multiple European countries. About the Program: Battlefield Staff Rides combine three essential elements: the intellectual (historical study and analysis), the physical (visiting actual battlefields), and the emotional (understanding the human dimension of combat). The program serves commanders seeking to develop their leaders through the study of military campaigns ranging from ancient Greece to World War II, across sites throughout Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
