Tax Operations Specialist
Mercer Advisors
• Go-to for things related to onboarding and processing of new tax clients. • Input new client information in our systems and ensure the accuracy of all new client data. • Process new client onboards efficiently and within specified SLAs while providing excellent customer service to clients and internal stakeholders. • Generate fee quotes and communicate with clients for approval. • Assist with new tax employee onboarding and related administrative tasks. • Assist with billing and invoicing tasks, including monthly tax billing. • Assist with terminating tax client engagement (Tax NLC processing). • Assist with newly acquired firms’ integration. • Comfortable using various reports to assist with tracking workflow and monitoring data integrity. • Provide ongoing insight and suggestions for process improvement. • Maintain a high level of communication with Manager, Tax Operations to ensure projects stay up-to-date and are completed in a timely manner. • Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high-quality client experience. • Other general operations and administrative duties as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years’ experience in an administrative or assistant role
- Experience or willingness to work with dynamic professionals
- Outstanding work ethic with a self-starter attitude, ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and deliver multiple tasks on time
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to maintain confidentiality with all matters
- Have a “can-do” positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a busy environment
- Eager to become an expert in the position
