Primary responsibilities include: - Partner closely with product, engineering, security, and alliances teams across all Omnissa product families to provide practical, business‑focused legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle. - Lead the negotiation and structuring of technology alliances, strategic integrations, OEM arrangements, embedded‑technology, IP licensing, and marketplace deals. - Advise on legal, regulatory, data, and security issues related to product design, development, functionality, interoperability, and third‑party integration. - Assist with intellectual property considerations related to product development, including licensing and patents, trade secret, and trademark protection. - Develop scalable legal frameworks, guidance, processes, and training that help product and engineering teams move quickly while managing risk effectively. - Support commercial and channel partner agreement negotiations when product involvement is required. - Collaborate with subject matter experts on specialized risk areas and escalate issues where appropriate. - Contribute to process improvements that enhance legal team efficiency, including opportunities to incorporate automation or AI‑enabled workflows. What will you bring to Omnissa? - At least 10 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in‑house at a technology company. - Deep experience negotiating complex technology and intellectual property transactions, alliances deals, integration partnerships, and OEM, resell, and embedded-technology agreements. - Strong ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance for product and engineering teams. - Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex matters and exercise strong judgment in fast‑moving, cross‑functional environments. - Broad issue‑spotting capability across IP, privacy, security, regulatory, and product‑related domains. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.
