Title: Business Analyst III (6209) Location: Burlingame, CA Job Description: Business Analyst III itD is seeking a Business Analyst III to drive demand forecasting and business planning for Reality Labs' VR headset and wearables portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in demand forecasting, business analytics, and sales planning, with a proven track record of delivering accurate forecasts and actionable business insights that influence production, launch, and go-to-market decisions. Location: Remote (U.S.) – PST preferred, with strong preference for candidates able to work 3 days onsite in Burlingame, CA Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: $30 - $32 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities - Build and maintain bottom-up sell-through and sell-in demand forecasts for VR headsets and wearable hardware products using quantitative and qualitative data. - Partner with sales account managers, category managers, marketing teams, channel operations, and data analysts to improve forecast accuracy and identify business growth opportunities. - Analyze weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across hardware and accessory product lines. - Own actual-versus-forecast performance analysis by identifying root causes, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring forecast effectiveness. - Present forecast assumptions, business insights, and performance updates to Reality Labs leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. - Develop forecasting models by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, dependencies, and correlations to improve planning accuracy. - Support production planning and product launch decisions through close collaboration with channel operations and business teams. - Create high-quality reports, dashboards, and executive presentations while managing ad hoc forecasting requests and business analyses. Internal Responsibilities - Attend regular internal practice community meetings. - Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership. - Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material). - Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice. - Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual). - Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities. Required Qualifications and Skills - 4+ years of experience in hardware product demand forecasting, planning, or forecasting analytics. - 6+ years of experience in business strategy, business analytics, finance, sales planning, or related analytical roles. - Experience building demand forecasting models for consumer hardware products. - Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint. - Experience performing quantitative analysis and translating data into business recommendations. - Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder presentation skills. - Ability to independently execute day-to-day forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities. Preferred Qualifications and Skills - Experience forecasting physical consumer goods or consumer electronics. - Experience using enterprise forecasting platforms such as O9 or similar planning systems. - Experience supporting AR/VR, consumer technology, or hardware product organizations. - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field. Education Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Role Description Senior Business Analyst will support the National Real Estate Services leadership team specifically the SSVP in analysis of strategic opportunities, managing professional team development programs, task force administration, system leadership reporting, program development and assessment, NRES performance and KPI evaluations, Value Capture program implementation, and data gathering and analysis to support the optimization of the National Real Estate Services (NRES) program.
