Based in Townsville, this Cadet Structural Designer role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers and designers on a diverse range of projects. This is a perfect role for candidates wanting to study for their Associate Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Southern QLD or Central QLD University in 2027 and work at the same time. In this role, you will: - Assist with providing drafting and design input, as well as technical support in the production of engineering drawings and documentation. - Contribute to the delivery of small to major projects, including mining, industrial and infrastructure projects. - Produce accurate and high-quality design drawings and documentation with a strong attention to detail. - Collaborate with senior and lead designers, engineers and project managers to deliver project outcomes. - Develop practical technical skills and gain exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery across the project lifecycle. - Work within a fast-paced and dynamic team environment while building your professional engineering career. Qualifications - We are looking for someone that is keen to kick start their career in civil design, that has the drive and motivation to learn from our professional and technical teams, and has the aptitude to apply their studies to real-life work. - The educational requirements for this role are that you have completed, or are currently completing, your Year 12 studies, and will meet the minimum enrolment requirements into an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering through the University of Southern Qld or Central QLD University. - An interest in structural drafting, mining, industrial or heavy industry projects.
