Job Description
Product Designer
Pathify
• Design end-to-end workflows for AI-powered conversational interfaces, including agent configuration, conversation management, and intelligent recommendations. • Collaborate with our lead designer on the UX and UI design for the Admin Center overhaul, simplifying complex configuration workflows for non-technical university administrators. • Create and iterate on student-facing experiences that surface personalized content, events, and resources across web and mobile. • Ensure all designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA (or higher) accessibility standards, supporting Pathify's commitment to inclusive design and ADA Title II compliance. • Develop and maintain reusable design patterns and components in Figma, contributing to a shared design system. • Conduct (along with our Product Analyst) user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to ground design decisions in evidence. • Partner with Product Owners to translate requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of product design experience in a SaaS or platform environment, with a portfolio demonstrating both UX and UI work.
- Deep proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, variables, and prototyping.
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and experience designing for diverse user needs.
- Experience designing complex configuration or admin interfaces where usability for non-technical users is critical.
- Comfort working in a remote, cross-functional team with asynchronous communication and self-directed work.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly in writing and presentations.
- A collaborative, low-ego mindset that values shipping great products over defending personal preferences.
- Nice to have experience in higher education technology (edtech) or working with institutional customers.
- Familiarity with designing AI-powered or conversational UI experiences.
- Experience contributing to or building design systems at scale.
- Understanding of front-end development concepts (HTML/CSS, component-based frameworks) sufficient to collaborate effectively with engineers.
Benefits
- Mission-driven work: Help millions of students navigate their college experience with technology that genuinely makes a difference.
- Greenfield design opportunities: Shape new AI capabilities and a modernized admin experience from the ground up.
- Accessibility leadership: Join a team that treats inclusive design as a core value, not an afterthought.
- Fully remote culture: Work from anywhere in the US with a team that values autonomy, ownership, and clear communication.
- Growth trajectory: Be part of an expanding design function with real influence on product direction and company strategy.
