Paralegal, Intellectual Property Investigation & Enforcement

Project Management Institute

Role Description Want to help people learn the newest ways of working and getting things done? You will be dedicated to detecting, investigating, documenting, and helping prevent misuse of PMI intellectual property (IP), while partnering with internal stakeholders such as Exam Security to strengthen controls and reduce financial and reputational risk. - Assist with trademark and copyright prosecution. - Monitor, investigate, and report on potential IP infringement. - Support enforcement actions. - Support other Legal Department functions, including legal research, litigation support, and document management. - Provide primarily focused IP support and flexibility to assist with other Legal Department initiatives as business needs require. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - Paralegal certification strongly preferred. - Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. - Experience with intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and enforcement required. - Experience supporting investigations, compliance, or enforcement functions required. Requirements - Solid knowledge of intellectual property law and enforcement practices. - Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - High level of attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and tracking. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Experience with legal tracking systems, docketing tools, or case management systems preferred.
