Role Description The Director, Delivery Management provides enterprise-level strategic leadership and oversight for the Delivery Management function, leading multiple teams and large-scale delivery portfolios across the organization. This role is responsible for defining and advancing the departmental vision, strategy, and operating model — ensuring alignment to business objectives, scalability across the enterprise, and continuous improvement in delivery performance. The Director partners closely with executive leadership across Engineering, Product, and Business to influence delivery strategy, organizational design, and departmental investment decisions while building a high-performing organization and driving operational excellence across all delivery functions. - Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Delivery Management function; define the long-term vision, strategy, and operating model to support enterprise transformation and business objectives; partner with executive leadership to influence prioritization, investment decisions, and organizational design based on delivery insights and capacity planning. - Establish and govern enterprise-wide delivery standards, frameworks, metrics, and tooling; ensure consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across all delivery teams; lead executive-level reporting on delivery health, risks, and performance trends that inform enterprise strategy and governance decisions. - Oversee large-scale delivery portfolios and high-risk initiatives; ensure cross-organizational alignment, effective risk management, and successful delivery outcomes at scale; serve as a key escalation point for complex issues and removing obstacles for teams. - Own and optimize the Delivery Management function budget including workforce planning, cost management, and resource strategy; establish and ensure leadership adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. - Build and sustain a high-performing organization through executive oversight of talent strategy, leadership development, succession planning, and culture transformation; oversee all aspects of performance management, hiring, compensation, and employee development — identifying and cultivating future leaders. - Champion enterprise-wide adoption and evolution of Agile, Lean Agile, and DevOps practices; drive large-scale transformation, process improvements, and capability advancement while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the department delivers operational excellence. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years in a related field and 8–10+ years of prior management experience leading delivery management teams and large-scale programs and portfolios. - Deep expertise in Agile and Lean Agile delivery models with advanced certifications preferred; demonstrated experience managing organizational change initiatives and driving enterprise-wide transformation. - Superb leadership, sound judgment, and business acumen with proven fiscal responsibility and accountability in managing budgets, workforce planning, and resource strategy aligned to organizational priorities. - Superb oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with executive presence, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver engaging and compelling presentations to diverse audiences. - Proven track record of building and sustaining high-performing organizations through talent strategy, leadership development, succession planning, and culture transformation. Requirements - Advanced Agile or Lean Agile certifications with experience leading large-scale Agile transformations across enterprise organizations. - Experience establishing and governing enterprise-wide delivery frameworks, standards, and metrics that drive consistency and scalability across multiple teams. - Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership on organizational design, investment decisions, and delivery strategy based on data-driven insights. - Experience overseeing large-scale delivery portfolios and high-risk initiatives with a track record of achieving successful outcomes at scale. - Sharp technology curiosity and aptitude with strong business and technology acumen; experience providing strategic influence to internal peers and industry groups.
