Role Description Agilent is seeking a dynamic and results-driven liquid chromatography (LC) product specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our liquid chromatography products within the US and Canada. This role requires a strong understanding of the scientific market, excellent sales/communication skills, and a passion for building customer relationships. As an integral member of the sales team, you will work together with various stakeholders to focus on new customer acquisition and growing our installed base of customers. - You will be responsible for maintaining your own funnel and carry a sales quota. - Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and increase market share. - Serve as technical point of contact at key strategic accounts. - Focus on strategic and competitive opportunities to capture market share. - Function as an expert in competition / product differentiation for the broader sales organization. - Deliver product/workflow presentations and coordinate demonstrations to showcase the unique benefits of our chromatographic solutions. - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns. - Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software. - Regularly participate in relevant industry events to gain insights, foster relationships, and build professional relationships. - Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands. - Territory is western United States and Hawaii. - Successful candidate MUST live in the territory. Qualifications - Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Analytical chemistry or adjacent field. Advanced degree highly preferred. - 2+ years proven experience in sales, preferably in the scientific or analytical instruments industry. - Deep technical understanding of Agilent’s full portfolio of chromatographic solutions and associated applications. - Knowledgeable in the informatics solutions and associated compliance requirements of the LC market is highly desirable. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
