Job Description

Event Officer

FSC International

Role Description At FSC, forests and the people who depend on them matter. As our Event Officer, you will be at the heart of how we connect, convene, and collaborate - shaping experiences that bring our global mission to life. If you thrive in complex, international environments and find energy in turning ambiguity into well-orchestrated events, we would love to meet you. Main Roles & Responsibilities - Plan & Deliver Events End-to-End - Lead the full lifecycle of international, regional, and internal events — from concept and planning through to execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement. - Translate strategic objectives into compelling event formats that resonate with diverse, global audiences. - Ensure every event reflects FSC values: sustainability, accessibility, and genuine stakeholder inclusivity. - Manage multiple concurrent events with confidence, balancing priorities without losing sight of quality or detail. - Build scalable event frameworks and reusable tools that strengthen FSC's event capability over time. - Partner With Stakeholders Across the Organisation - Act as a trusted partner to internal teams, senior leadership, and cross-functional colleagues — advising on formats, feasibility, timelines, and resource planning. - Align event strategy with FSC's communications, advocacy, partnerships, and policy priorities. - Coordinate closely with Communications, Procurement, Finance, and Regional Offices to deliver seamlessly. - Maintain clear, proactive communication so that no stakeholder is ever surprised. - Bring International and Intercultural Awareness - Work with sensitivity and professionalism across FSC's multicultural teams in Bonn and throughout our global network. - Design events that reflect cultural diversity, inclusivity, and international best practice. - Navigate the nuances of formal protocol in environments where diplomacy and governance standards matter. - Manage Suppliers and External Partners - Build strong relationships with external agencies, venues, and service providers. - Lead supplier briefings with clarity and purpose, ensuring expectations are understood and delivery standards are maintained. - Support procurement in line with FSC's internal policies and NGO compliance requirements. - Evaluate partner performance and drive continuous improvement. - Drive Quality and Operational Excellence - Develop and maintain event templates, guidelines, and planning tools that raise standards across the organisation. - Collect and apply feedback and lessons learned so FSC keeps getting better at convening people. - Contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and process improvement within the global event function. Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on event management experience, ideally within an NGO, international organisation, or multi-stakeholder environment. - A track record of managing complex events with diverse stakeholder groups across geographies. - Exposure to governance-oriented environments — such as NGOs, UN-related bodies, public institutions, or policy-focused organisations — is a distinct advantage. Requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English — clear, confident, and calibrated to different audiences. - Strong organisational instincts: you can hold many moving parts in your head, prioritise under pressure, and still deliver with precision. - A structured, solutions-oriented mindset — you see complexity as something to organise, not avoid. - High intercultural sensitivity: you know how to adapt your communication and approach depending on context, culture, and seniority. - Awareness of formal protocol in international or diplomatic settings is a plus. - German at a conversational level is a nice-to-have — but definitely not a barrier to applying. Benefits - Benefit from cross-cultural collaboration and networking opportunities by being part of FSC global community of 400+ forest stewards. - Benefit from work-life balance with our hybrid working structure. - 30 vacation days yearly. - Regional transportation ticket. - Celebrate together festivals from different cultures. - Once a year in-person get together with the global FSC staff. Company Description Welcome to FSC! The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is a globally recognized non-profit organization at the forefront of promoting sustainable forestry. With over 150 million hectares of certified forests and a trusted reputation among NGOs, consumers, and businesses, FSC is leading the way in ensuring the long-term health and resilience of the world’s forests.

Role Description We’re looking for a Fractional CMO or demand generation agency to help us build and run the inbound marketing engine that fills Maneva’s sales pipeline. This is a hands-on engagement, not a strategic advisory role. We need someone who will get into the tools, run the campaigns, and drive real results. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with our SVP of Strategic Sales. Your focus is pipeline: getting the right people into the funnel and moving them toward a sales conversation. We’re open to working with a fractional individual (a senior marketer embedded part-time) or a specialist agency with a strong B2B and manufacturing track record. What matters most is that you know this space and can execute quickly. What You’ll Own - Demand Generation & Campaign Execution: - Design and run organic and content-led demand generation programs across channels including email, social, content, SEO, webinars, and industry events. - Increase sales pipeline by leveraging demand gen tools and content to significantly grow inbound leads into the Maneva funnel. - Drive prospects from initial awareness through to sales-ready conversations, continuously improving what moves people forward. - Partner with Sales to align on lead quality, handoff, and what’s actually converting downstream. - Channel & Campaign Strategy: - Identify the highest-leverage channels for reaching manufacturing decision makers and plant operators, and build a repeatable playbook around them. - Develop and test messaging that speaks directly to the pain points of our ICP in the manufacturing sector. - Build enough visibility into what’s driving pipeline that the team always knows where leads are coming from and which efforts are worth doubling down on. - Stack & Execution: - Work within Maneva’s existing stack: Webflow, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Buffer, and a suite of AI-powered creative tools. - Bring your own playbooks, frameworks, and best practices to accelerate what we’re building. - Lay groundwork for paid programs if and when organic efforts warrant it. Qualifications - A senior B2B demand generation specialist or agency with a track record of building inbound pipelines for technical or industrial products. - Deep familiarity with manufacturing, industrial automation, or adjacent sectors. You understand who the buyers are and how they make decisions. - Hands-on and execution-focused. You run campaigns yourself rather than delegating everything downstream. - Strong grasp of organic and content-led growth strategies. Experience with SEO, email nurture, and LinkedIn for B2B is a plus. - Comfortable working as an embedded partner with a lean internal team, not just as an outside vendor. - Experience working with or at an early-stage tech startup. - Able to move quickly, communicate clearly, and iterate based on what the data and the sales team are telling you. Engagement Details - Fractional or agency engagement, with scope and hours to be agreed based on fit and needs. - Reports directly to the CEO, with close collaboration with the Director of Marketing and SVP of Strategic Sales. - Fully remote. We move fast and trust our partners to do the same. - Compensation commensurate with experience and engagement scope.
