Job Description

Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies

Revamp Engineering, Inc.

• Perform and lead system studies, including but not limited to protective device coordination and the following explorations: short circuit, arc flash, load flows, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality. • Design collection systems, including cable routing and cable sizing. • Create equipment specifications for and apply knowledge of renewable energy systems, including PV solar modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, cable management systems, and balance-of-system (BOS). • Write reports and give presentations describing studies conducted, solutions developed, and value achieved. • Prepare project documentation. • Evaluate, select, and apply standard procedures and criteria. • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes. • Lead multiple projects of varying complexity. • Support client interaction for multiple projects. • Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments with high proficiency and confidence. • Assist with proposals to provide professional services. • Assign tasks to and direct less experienced team members to complete assignments. • Provide mentoring for less experienced engineers. • Perform essential duties, including meeting deliverables and deadlines. • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or greater in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in power systems analysis performing such studies as: short circuit, arc flash, load flows, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality.
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF or similar.
  • Advanced English language proficiency (approximately IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+), with the ability to draft technical reports, lead discussions, and collaborate fluently with U.S.-based and international teams.
  • Ability to work a schedule Monday – Friday from roughly 3 PM to 11 PM IST on a weekly basis.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience within power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV systems or energy storage system environment.
  • Experience applying Python or similar programming languages for process automation.
  • Experience working with different vendor provided dynamic models.
  • Efficient time management – handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be both creative and analytical.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
