Job Description

Trust & Safety Senior Specialist

G2

Role Description The Senior Trust & Safety Specialist owns complex escalation resolution and data-driven fraud investigation at G2, serving as the primary senior IC responsible for protecting the integrity of G2’s marketplace by identifying fraud patterns, building detection rules, and making final enforcement decisions on the platform’s most sensitive cases. In This Role, You Will: - Escalations & Enforcement: - Serve as the primary owner of complex Trust & Safety escalations from internal teams and external customers and vendors, making documented, data-backed final decisions that set team precedent. - Resolve high-impact, sensitive cases end-to-end with little to no supervision; own the decision, the documentation, and the follow-through. Escalate only genuinely novel, precedent-setting situations to manager-level leadership. - Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and RevOrg to communicate enforcement decisions, surface patterns that require product-level fixes, and ensure T&S actions are understood and defensible across the organization. - Fraud Investigation & Data Analysis: - Use SQL and BI tooling (e.g. Looker, Snowflake) to independently investigate fraud trends across G2’s marketplace, identifying patterns of abuse including fake reviews, coordinated manipulation, fake accounts, and review gating. Quantify risk impact without hand-holding. - Own the full data-to-action loop: pattern identification → hypothesis testing → rule creation → implementation → outcome monitoring, driving to resolution. - Build and maintain dashboards and trend reports that surface active fraud signals, track key integrity metrics, and provide leadership with a clear, current view of platform health, proactively flagging emerging risks before they become incidents. - Policy, Process & Cross-Functional Impact: - Identify gaps in existing review integrity and fraud detection policies based on real-world investigation findings; propose specific, evidence-based enforcement updates and drive them to adoption in partnership with the Director of Trust & Safety. - Contribute to G2/GDM integration efforts by auditing moderation workflows across both platforms, identifying enforcement inconsistencies, and recommending unified approaches that raise the floor for both organizations. - Proactively surface systemic process improvement opportunities, whether in tooling, workflows, or policy, and take ownership of seeing them through. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in Trust & Safety with hands-on exposure to automated or scaled enforcement systems. - Experience with content moderation, scaled enforcement programs, policy interpretation, and real-time incident response in complex environments. - Proven experience owning complex escalations end-to-end, internally (cross-functional) and externally (customers, vendors, partners) — with documented, defensible outcomes. - Strong, independent SQL skills: ability to write queries to extract and analyze large datasets without assistance. - Demonstrated ability to move from data → pattern identification → rule creation. - AI-Literate with an understanding of how LLM-based and classifier-driven enforcement systems behave in production. Requirements - Experience at a B2B marketplace, software review platform, or user-generated content environment. - Familiarity with BI/analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Hex; experience with case management platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk, or Jira). - Familiarity with AI safety concepts such as evaluation design, data quality, labeling strategies, and continuous improvement loops, applied through an operational lens. Company Description At G2, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse environment where people of every background can thrive and feel welcome. We consider applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, genetic information, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, or marital, veteran, or physical or mental disability status.
