Offshore Launch
• Manage a high volume of HVAC work orders each day (20+), across multiple job sites • Review technician reports, photos, and videos to verify diagnoses and spot issues early • Scope jobs accurately—catching misdiagnoses, inflated bids, or missing components • Provide clear, confident direction to licensed HVAC contractors—pushing back when needed • Own communication across the job: from the field to internal operations to project wrap-up • Uphold company quality standards and act as the final gatekeeper before approval and billing • Use company internal platform and documentation tools to track job progress and ensure completion
Job Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience in residential service, repair, or diagnostics
- Strong field troubleshooting and diagnostic ability across unit types (split systems, gas furnaces, heat pumps, R22/R410A systems, etc.)
- Experience reading and interpreting system tags, data plates, and field photos to validate technician findings
- Comfort identifying misdiagnoses, inflated bids, or unnecessary replacements
- Prior experience working directly with technicians or reviewing real-time work orders
- Clear, confident verbal communication—you need to push back with precision, not aggression
- Willingness to trade fieldwork for full-time remote employment
- Fast learning curve with new software—this role relies on a custom internal platform, not off-the-shelf tools
- Highly organized; able to manage dozens of open work orders simultaneously across multiple locations
- Fluency in English (verbal and written); clear and concise communicator

Role Description We’re hiring a Director, Mechanical Engineering to lead mechanical design ownership and engineering governance across Nscale’s North America data center portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping the mechanical basis of design across multiple U.S. sites, including: - Cooling plant architectures - Heat rejection - Piping design - Water treatment - Control system interfaces You’ll play a key role in developing infrastructure purpose-built for high-density AI and liquid-cooled GPU hardware.
