Job Description
Account Executive – Medium Accounting Firms
Pennylane
• Due to business growth and the objectives for 2026, we are opening new Account Executive positions on the firm side to join the Medium team focused on accounting firms. • Your mission will be to understand the accounting and management challenges faced by SME leaders and by accounting firms, and to identify what Pennylane can bring to both groups. Once you’ve done that, you will be responsible for a region of France and your objective will be to win over the Medium firms in your territory. • You will hold meetings, remotely or in person, during which you will engage with accounting firms to: - Understand their firm and the challenges they face in meeting the needs of their teams and clients - Present Pennylane and demonstrate how it would change their day-to-day work - Close the sale with the firm, encouraging them to keep the accounting for a significant portion of their portfolio on Pennylane • After the sale is closed and the first files are managed by the accounting firm, you will support the firm over time to: - Retain and grow the number of files managed on Pennylane. Drive growth across your portfolio of firms - Coordinate support teams to ensure the service delivered meets the firms’ expectations - Develop a network of promoter firms that can refer other peers • Other responsibilities include: - Interacting with client-side commercial teams to ensure the firm-client virtuous cycle operates smoothly - Conducting targeted prospecting (emails, hot calls, participating in events…) for firms with potential - Analyzing your performance, learning from other team members, and sharing your techniques to improve the team’s performance
Job Requirements
- You have at least 2 years of experience in commercial/sales roles (ideally in B2B SaaS, working on long, complex deals with multiple stakeholders).
- You enjoy commercial relationships and spending time with prospects/clients: having working lunches, attending trade shows, and traveling to meet people in the field. Field work is key when working with accounting firms!
- You are creative and persistent in achieving your objectives within your area of responsibility.
- You know how to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- You are eager to learn and progress in your sales career and are proactive in proposing solutions to the problems you encounter.
- You have a strong ability to collaborate daily with other teams and are accommodating in cross-team interactions.
- You have knowledge of the accounting-tech/fintech ecosystem.
- You have an English level that allows you to hold professional internal company discussions and deliver presentations.
Benefits
- One of the best health plans on the market (Alan Blue and Alan Mind)
- Meal vouchers (Swile card)
- Between 6 and 12 additional RTT days on top of 5 weeks of paid vacation
- The opportunity to improve your English through Busuu
- A monthly stipend available to all Pennylaners to support working from home or from a coworking space
- Easy access to our offices, located a few minutes from Saint-Lazare in the heart of Paris
- An allocation of BSPCE (stock options)
- Access to 8,000 gyms across France and over 300 wellness activities through our partner Gymlib
- A Mac provided
- We do many sports together and place importance on meeting regularly for company events such as Tech Days (which bring remote Pennylaners together every 3 months) and our annual company offsite.
