Develop, plan and provide educational and counseling services. Plan, organize, coordinate and implement lecture subject material for classroom and group education and behavioral change and psychological support intervention activities for the dietary intervention of Internal Medicine and Internal Medicine Subspecialties patients. - program who are having difficulty adhering to the weight loss or maintenance programs. Your groups must offer a safe environment for participants to address individual struggles and emotional issues and stress. You will maintain an up to date appropriate licensing for either licensed psychotherapy or MFT. It is also the leader's responsibility to maintain a specialized interest in weight and eating disorders. - The behavior modification class leader will lead weekly sessions that are based on the theoretical principles of cognitive behavioral therapy. This therapy will take into account the fact that long-term changes in behavior need to be accompanied by changes in the way individuals think, their cognitions. Goals include addressing and altering certain black and white thinking through reframing of thinking so as to reduce misconceptions of failure and reinforce efforts for sustaining behavioral change. - The nutritional lecture series is taught weekly by a licensed professionals from a variety of specialties including medicine, nutrition exercise physiology and psychology. The lecturer's responsibility includes background in a specialty for the lecture being instructed. Such topics include eating disorders, anger and stress management, failure syndrome and recovery from failure syndrome, hypertension, diabetes, eating habits, compulsive or emotional overeating, cardio and strength training and various other related topics. - This is a 40% limited position that may convert to career* $47.82- $69.67 Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Master in Social Work (MSW) Master in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) or Master in Psychology or Masters in Counseling Psychology or Masters of Art in Counseling. The Behavioral Intake Counselor (BIC) is a position for the County of San Diego's 24/7 Access and Crisis Line (ACL) which provides free, confidential access to behavioral health services and crisis intervention for the 3.3 million San Diegans. Behavioral Health Access -Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services within the system of care. ACL clinicians need to quickly establish an emotional connection with the individual seeking help, identify their needs, conduct a behavioral health screening which includes an adapted ASAM screening, recognize and properly follow up on any risk factors, and help provide linkage to the most appropriate type and level of care based on the collective screenings and preferences of the caller/chatter. Working Schedule: 4 day working week: Friday - Monday 2pm - 12:30am Initial Training: 1 month: Monday to Friday - Typically 7- 4.30pm depending on trainer availability Candidates must be available for both the training schedule and working schedule, this is not flexible.
