Senior Fixed Asset Accountant Location: San Francisco, CA Placement Type: Temporary Salary: $70-75 Hourly W2, Benefits and 401k matching Note: This is a Hybrid role that requires you onsite 2 days a week (Tues and Thurs). Our beauty client is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Fixed Asset Accountant to support capital accounting and fixed asset processes during a critical SAP S/4HANA migration. This is a high-impact consulting role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can step in quickly to support data integrity, reconciliations, and process continuity during a system transformation. You will partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and IT to ensure accurate financial reporting, support month-end close, and maintain the integrity of fixed asset data across systems. You must be an advanced Excel user. What You’ll Do Fixed Asset Accounting & CapEx Support - Support capital expenditure (CapEx) and fixed asset accounting activities - Maintain accuracy of the fixed asset register, including asset values, in-service dates, and locations - Prepare fixed-asset-related journal entries as part of the monthly close - Manage and monitor internal orders and budgets related to capital projects SAP S/4HANA Migration Support - Provide hands-on support for SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration efforts - Assist with reconciliation and validation of legacy and S/4 fixed asset data - Support post-migration validation to ensure data accuracy and completeness Reconciliation & Reporting - Maintain and support fixed asset and related balance sheet reconciliations - Investigate and resolve discrepancies across systems - Partner with FP&A and Procurement on capital reporting, open purchase orders, and analysis Audit & Process Support - Assist with external audit requests related to fixed assets - Support documentation and process alignment during the migration period - Partner with the Fixed Asset Manager on daily operations and ad hoc requests What You Bring - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Experience in fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close - Working knowledge of SAP (ECC or S/4HANA exposure preferred) - Experience supporting ERP implementations, migrations, or finance transformation initiatives - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (large data sets, reconciliations, analysis) Why This Role - Direct impact on a high-visibility SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative - Opportunity to work cross-functionally across Finance, FP&A, Procurement, and IT - Hands-on role with immediate ownership and impact - Ideal for professionals who enjoy problem-solving, data cleanup, and process improvement The target hiring compensation range for this role is 70.00-75.00.
