Head of Legal

• You advise the executive team and staff on all legal matters, particularly in the areas of contract law, corporate law, labor law, data protection, IP, media law, platform regulation and compliance. • You draft, review and negotiate agreements with partners, sponsors, service providers, talent, agencies, publishers, event organizers and other stakeholders. • You provide legal support for strategic projects, funding rounds, partnerships, product development, international expansions and potential M&A processes. • You develop scalable legal processes, contract templates, internal policies, compliance frameworks and decision-making tools for a fast-growing startup. • You manage external law firms and coordinate cooperation with authorities, advisors and other external partners. • You support legal matters related to gaming, esports, digital communities, youth protection, content, trademark rights, community governance and inclusive platform offerings.
Job Requirements
- You are a fully qualified lawyer with two state exams (or equivalent legal qualification).
- You have several years of professional experience in a corporate law firm, in-house at a company or startup, or in a technology, media, gaming or esports environment.
- You have solid expertise in contract law and ideally experience in several of the following areas: corporate law, labor/employment law, data protection, IP, media law, compliance or digital business models.
- You think entrepreneurially, pragmatically and solution-oriented without underestimating legal risks.
- You can explain complex legal topics clearly and provide actionable recommendations.
- You work independently, in a structured manner and responsibly in a dynamic environment.
- You have an interest in gaming, esports, digital platforms, community products and inclusive company structures.
- You possess excellent German and English language skills.
