Role Description Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Principal Enterprise-Wide Applications Analyst who will act as a SAP FICO Analyst supporting the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) organization as the primary contact for Cost Accounting Support, with an emphasis on supporting our material accounting team. This position is not location specific and can be performed virtually. The selected candidate will analyze, evaluate, modify, configure, test and implement enterprise-wide purchased systems (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, etc.). Prepare application system specifications. Plan, implement and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements or maintenance. Key Responsibilities: - Be an integral member of the 1ERP CO Team, regularly interacting with sector business management teams. - Lead workshops to capture CO functional requirements, produce detailed specifications, and create solution blueprints. - Own the CO support queue for high-priority incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes. - Drive continuous-improvement initiatives: propose and execute CO customizations, advise on S/4 HANA best practices, and lead “hypercare” periods after upgrades. - Represent the CO as the escalation point for material-accounting issues (including GPD) across the enterprise; communicate impact & timelines to business leadership. - Understand the accounting related to purchasing, especially as it relates to goods receipts and invoice (GR/IR), for all categories of purchase orders as well as knowledge of how price variance works among different purchase categories. - Share SAP support responsibilities with fellow SAP Analysts, working with them on cross-functional projects. - Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, monitor nightly batch jobs, and coordinate weekend go-lives or emergency patches. Qualifications - 5 Years with relevant experience with a Bachelors in IT, Accounting, Business, or related field; 3 Years with Masters; or 1 Year with PhD. - Must have at least 5 years of hands-on SAP CO module experience with a mix of implementation and production support and a background in material accounting. - Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs, create test plans, deliver training, and drive execution. - Willingness to work occasional weekends/on-call for critical processes. - Guide configuration/customization of SAP CO in S/4 HANA implementations/upgrades. - Basic knowledge of MS Office tools. - Ability to directly work with business process experts. - 2-3 full life cycle SAP project implementation in CO. - Working knowledge of CO integration with MM, GL, AP, and PS. - Experience working in a Global Company Structure. Requirements - SAP Certifications. - SAP Advanced Reporting experience. - Experience with the GPD process and the ability to develop business solutions. - Experience in S/4 HANA, including Fiori, and CATS, with hands-on development of Fiori apps or extensions for CO reporting. - Experience with Redwood with the ability to design and automate Redwood job-streams. - Experience working virtually.
