Intelligence Analyst

Role Description As an Intelligence Analyst supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG), you will help to promote excellence, integrity, and accountability throughout the department charged with keeping Americans safe and secure. You will work closely with DHS OIG Auditors in support of their audits and investigations. Your efforts will contribute to the elimination of waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government, ensuring Americans’ tax dollars are spent efficiently and effectively. Join FWI in supporting DHS’s internal watchdog efforts, enabling the department to make our nation more safe and secure from internal and external threats. Position is contingent upon contract award Work Schedule and Location: - Remote: This full-time remote position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. Responsibilities - Support audits of a complex, highly sensitive and investigative nature. - Produce Intelligence Analysis Reports, including supporting graphs, figures, and charts. - Write reports in accordance with DHS OIG audit procedures and the Government Accountability Office’s Yellow Book standards. - Prepare various types of reports, briefings, and testimony. - Conduct research for and prepare proposals for various types of DHS audits. - Conduct investigative research and analysis. - Use databases to investigate misconduct and fraud allegations. - Investigate claims suspected of being fraudulent. - Perform discovery and analysis in support of criminal investigations, write investigative action reports, and review closed investigations to conduct data trend analyses. - Develop new approaches where no precedents exist and creative solutions to any problems encountered. Qualifications - B.A. or B.S. in Intelligence Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar field of study. - The ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. - Report-writing experience. - Experience researching and analyzing information drawn from a variety of sources, such as programs, case studies, and policies, to draw conclusions and write reports. Requirements - M.A. or M.S. degree in one of the aforementioned fields of study (desired). - An active TS/SCI security clearance (desired). - Experience supporting or conducting audits for a federal government agency (desired).
