Energy Asset Manager

Intersect Power

• Help maximize the long-term value, performance, and reliability of a portfolio of integrated power generation assets serving data center customers. • Serve as the commercial and financial owner of assigned assets throughout their operational lifecycle. • Partner closely with Operations, Trading, Finance, Development, and external stakeholders to optimize performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with project agreements. • Own the financial performance, cash position, and value optimization strategies for assigned operating assets. • Develop, maintain, and regularly update project budgets, forecasts, financial models, and sensitivity analyses. • Monitor revenue drivers, operating costs, and key economic performance indicators that influence asset value. • Partner with Trading, Operations, and Finance teams to improve commercial outcomes and maximize portfolio returns. • Ensure compliance with PPAs, O&M agreements, LTSAs, financing agreements, warranties, interconnection agreements, land agreements, and shared infrastructure contracts. • Monitor project performance against financial, operational, and commercial objectives. • Develop expertise in data center power requirements, reliability expectations, and customer priorities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in asset management, project development, project finance, commercial management, project administration, or a related role within the energy or infrastructure industry.
  • Experience managing operational assets with direct responsibility for financial performance and business outcomes.
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Experience reviewing, managing, negotiating, and administering complex commercial agreements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with multi-technology energy projects, ERCOT or other ISO/RTO markets, and data center customers is highly valued.
