Role Description The Medicare Strategy & Operations Manager role supports senior leaders in creating segment and state-specific strategies, as well as driving key strategic and operational initiatives to transform the organization. Strategy development efforts include data analysis and synthesis of regulatory, competitive, and operational insights. The incumbent will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the enterprise and will have exposure to functional and segment leadership. - Develops and maintains state and product-specific Medicare strategies. - Executes market research on Medicare industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. - Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses using internal and external data sources to identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities across Medicare Advantage markets. - Assesses strategic impact of regulatory changes. - Provides strategic recommendations and supports decision-making processes. - Assists in leading and implementing high-priority projects and operational improvement initiatives throughout the Medicare segment. - Coordinates with cross-functional teams to drive strategic and operational alignment. - Takes ownership of end-to-end analysis and/or projects, ensuring thorough and actionable outcomes. - Act as a liaison between the Medicare Strategy Team and other departments. Qualifications - Ability to meet aggressive timelines and balance multiple lines of business, states, and requirement areas. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and ability to communicate with those in all positions of the company. - Ability to concisely synthesize large and complex requirements. - Ability to organize and maintain regulatory data including real-time policy changes. - Ability to understand current state organization structures and business processes and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Self-motivated and ability to take initiative, identify, communicate, and resolve potential problems. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. - Ability to work with those in other time zones than your own.
