As the Lead Strategist, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative strategies that engage and activate the Pension Solutions market, including: - DB - PRT - OCIO - LDI - Custody Solutions You will have the opportunity to provide research-based customer insights and marketing guidance, driving the execution of messaging and content initiatives. This is your chance to be a part of a dynamic team, shaping the future of marketing at Principal Financial Group. - Develop and maintain innovative, differentiated messaging and content to drive positive prospect and customer demand for our Pension Solution products, services, and strategies. - Partner with the Segment marketing team to translate business objectives into marketing strategies and core content. - Cultivate a deep understanding and application of target market research, marketing and competitive trends, market dynamics, and regulations. - Track, analyze and communicate results. Use results analysis to improve future outcomes and optimize content. - Provide informal technical and professional mentorship/leadership to team members. Consistently demonstrate and share with team a broad understanding of project impacts across audiences, business lines, and strategies. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 10+ years of related work experience - Advanced understanding of Pension business, products and industry along with understanding of experience with identified audience - Must have an advanced level of knowledge of the marketing profession and modern marketing strategies - Strong marketing background in Defined Benefit, LDI, OCIO, Custody solutions - Experience working with creative agencies to bring your stories to life - Experience working with enablement, workflow and compliance platforms - Skilled in writing and telling compelling stories and simplifying technical information - Both Asset management and Retirement background preferred - Strong influence and informal leadership skills, with the ability to bring stakeholders together to deliver a consistent message - Some travel required, including overnight stays Requirements - Salary Range: $127,000 - $171,000 / year - Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees. - Pension Eligible: Yes - At this time, we're not considering applicants that need any type of immigration sponsorship. - For Principal Asset Management positions, you’ll need to follow an Investment Code of Ethics.
