Job Description

Quality Director – Trucking Operations

Venture Logistics

• Oversee and evaluate operational performance to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards • Train, coach, and mentor operations personnel and leadership • Lead implementation of new technologies, processes, and operational initiatives • Conduct quality audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented • Manage and review all key performance indicators (KPIs) • Lead KPI review meetings and communicate performance trends and gaps • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations • Support new operation start-ups, including project management of implementation plans • Demonstrate a consistently positive and professional demeanor, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment • Handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, quality management, or logistics leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing KPIs, audits, and operational performance
  • Experience leading teams, training, and mentoring staff
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain environments (preferred)
  • Project management experience, including leading system or process implementations (preferred)
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data tracking and KPI reporting
  • Proficiency with operational and logistics systems, including: TMW, TotalMail, PeopleNet, Samsara
