Role Description We are looking for a Project & Resource Manager (m/f/d) to join our Research Operations & Enablement team and ensure the smooth, structured, and timely allocation of research capacity across a high volume of market research projects. In this role, you will act as the central coordination point between Account Management, Customer Success, and Research teams. You will ensure that incoming projects are properly assessed, prioritised, and staffed with the right researchers at the right time. Your work will directly enable Appinio to scale delivery while protecting team capacity and maintaining fast turnaround times. Beyond coordination, you will support the continuous improvement of our processes by helping to streamline project handovers, reduce manual effort, and contribute to the automation of project intake and resource allocation. What you’ll be doing - Evaluate incoming project requests and clarify requirements together with Account Management and Customer Success teams - Coordinate and allocate researchers to projects based on availability, capacity, and project priority - Maintain a clear overview of researcher bandwidth across multiple parallel projects - Prioritise incoming work using defined criteria (e.g. urgency, complexity, commercial relevance) and communicate realistic timelines internally - Identify bottlenecks in the project flow and support improvements in handover processes - Support the implementation of automation and tooling (e.g. HubSpot workflows, Zapier, AI-based solutions) to reduce manual coordination effort - Work closely with Research Leadership to improve overall operational efficiency Qualifications - 2–4 years of experience in project coordination, operations, or resource planning, preferably in a market research company - Comfortable working with a high volume of parallel requests and can stay structured under time pressure - Strong prioritisation skills and can balance competing demands based on clear criteria - Clear and confident communication with different stakeholders across teams - Comfortable making and explaining decisions based on capacity and priorities - Enjoy working in fast-moving environments where priorities can shift quickly - Hands-on, pragmatic mindset and a strong affinity for structure and processes - Proficient in English; German is a plus Benefits - Flexibility Policy: No hard cap on the number of vacation days you can take - Temporary work from abroad: If you're based in the EU, you can work outside your country of residence for up to 180 days per year - All the hardware you need and your own MacBook - If located in Hamburg or Berlin, you'll get a Deutschland ticket or access to a mobility budget with the NAVIT app - Subsidised Urban Sports Club or ClassPass membership based on location - Access to co-working spaces if located in cities with most Appinioneers (Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Madrid, Barcelona, or New York) Company Description Appinio is a global market research company that combines an AI-powered insights platform with expert consultancy. Essential Job Functions: - The primary role of the Mid-Level Environmental Due Diligence Professional is to conduct Phase I Environmental site assessments (ESAs), environmental compliance audits, high-level health and safety reviews, and coordinate multi-site deals that include various transaction-based environmental due diligence services. - Evaluate all types of real estate, commercial, and industrial operations. - Analyze and recognize potential environmental impact and compliance issues, as well as legacy environmental liabilities. - Provide clear and concise findings, recommendations, and options regarding client deliverables. - Coordinate and manage due diligence projects involving multi-site portfolios and teams in support of financial and industrial mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions. - Collaborate in a team atmosphere to plan and meet timelines and requirements along with budget goals. - Client facing, able to identify and develop new opportunities, prepare technical proposals. - Develop, track, and document project expectations and budgets. - Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - BS degree in science related discipline required. - 6-10 years of experience in environmental consulting field required. - Proven experience in assessing a variety of property/industry types as well as transaction types. - Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations. - Strong research skills and abilities, oral and written communication skills, including strong proficiency in technical report writing. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with the ability to change directions and scope quickly. - Familiarity with communicating to the client in business terms. - Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines within budget. - Ability to travel up to 50% or more of the time for project work. - A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required. - Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. - Experience with environmental compliance reviews. - Knowledge/familiarity with environmental health and safety assessments. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. - Ability to travel to various industrial, commercial, and manufacturing facilities (up to 50% of field work/travel required). - Field tasks will include work to be performed outside, and as a result will include working in various environmental factors (weather, noise levels, hazardous chemicals, altitude, terrain, etc.). This can include remaining stationary for long periods of time, walking at least one mile, lifting, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, and traversing uneven terrain. - Office-based tasks will include frequent periods of time sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer and other office equipment Work Environment / Environmental Factors: - Field work in various weather conditions and environmental factors. - Based out one of our local offices (including Chicago, IL, Atlanta, GA, Plano TX, and Irvine CA) with potential of a remote work arrangement, but the candidate must reside within 40 miles of one of the local offices and/or have the ability to reach a major airport within an hour.
