Role Description As an Associate Director Technical Architect, you lead enterprise level transformational implementations, net-new Braze deployments, complex multi-system integrations, and programs that fundamentally change how brands engage their customers. You operate at the executive level: navigating organizational dynamics, influencing roadmaps, and building relationships that transcend individual engagements. You’re also shaping Stitch internally evolving our solutioning methodology, mentoring Senior Technical Architects, and championing AI/ML innovation. This is the role for someone who wants to define what ‘great’ looks like. You are the technical authority that ensures our solutions are not just functional, but architecturally sound, scalable, and built to withstand complex multi-system integrations. What You’ll Do - Lead enterprise solution architecture for transformational implementations, net-new Braze deployments, platform migrations, complex multi-system programs. - Architect end-to-end integration patterns: Design and troubleshoot data flows across disparate systems (CDP, CRM, middleware, and data warehouses), ensuring robust connectivity and data integrity even when systems do not natively talk to each other. - Define system architecture across a client’s tech stack and design data models supporting connectivity across CDP, CRM, data warehouse, and Braze. - Champion AI/ML applications in customer engagement: predictive analytics, AI-powered personalization, LLM integration, composable CDP strategies. - Own executive-level client relationships. Present to C-suite, navigate stakeholder dynamics, and guide roadmapping and prioritization. - Lead solution design reviews and drive the evolution of Stitch’s solutioning methodologies. - Step into the most complex client situations with structured problem-solving, solution expertise, and stakeholder alignment — partnering with Directors to drive resolution. - Mentor and provide feedback for Senior Technical Architects. Establish standards for privacy, compliance, security, and data strategy. - Influence Braze’s product roadmap based on client needs. Contribute to the Braze technical community. - Achieve quarterly billable targets which average to be 32 hours of billable work per week. - Travel up to 20% for client meetings, workshops, and onsite engagements. Tools You’ll Use - Braze (advanced configuration, API automation) - Postman (complex chaining, environments, automated testing) - VS Code / Cursor (proficient development) - LucidChart (client-ready diagrams) - Git/GitHub (branching, merging, collaboration) - Segment or CDP (advanced configuration) - PGAdmin or database tool for query analysis - Chrome DevTools for network debugging - Major data warehouse environments (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery). - Evaluates and recommends new tools for team adoption. What You Bring - Advanced CRM/marketing automation platform expertise: deep experience building and optimizing campaigns, managing complex configurations, and navigating platform limitations with creative workarounds. - Advanced templating and personalization logic: comfort with dynamic content languages (e.g., Liquid, AMPscript, or similar), including nested data structures, custom logic, and performance optimization. - REST API proficiency: ability to create, troubleshoot, and optimize API calls across marketing platforms and integrated external products. - SQL with performance optimization. Query major data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery). - Enterprise integration architecture: full martech stack data flow, ingestion design and troubleshooting. - AI/ML applications in marketing: predictive analytics, personalization technologies, emerging capabilities. - Hands-on experience across multiple martech platforms -- not just understanding, but implementation. - Integration Architecture Mastery: Deep experience designing middleware, webhooks, and REST API integrations. You understand how to bridge the gaps between disparate platforms using code, API chains, and automation. - Technical Depth in Scripting: Proficient in production-grade Liquid, Python, and/or JavaScript to build reusable middleware and automate complex personalization logic. - Data Orchestration: Ability to architect data ingestion and synchronization patterns (batch, streaming, event-driven) across the martech stack, ensuring data is clean, performant, and actionable in Braze. The Technical Mindset We aren't looking for platform administrators; we are looking for engineers at heart. You should be able to: - Break platforms down into their 'core ingredients' (APIs, data models, workflow engines) to solve problems the vendor didn't explicitly intend. - Spot integration opportunities others miss, pushing tools to their limits. - Translate technical constraints into clear business trade-offs for C-suite stakeholders. What Does Success Look Like In This Role? - Your team members consistently hit 36 hours on a weekly basis. - You help Stitch grow and develop our employees. - You ensure key processes and design reviews are occurring to ensure Delivery excellence. Requirements - 7-10 years of hands-on experience with marketing technology and customer engagement implementations. - 5+ years in consulting, with proven success driving high-impact work for enterprise-level clients. - 2+ years of direct people leadership experience. - Experience leading teams of 6-8 direct reports or more. - Deep understanding of marketing technology ecosystems (CDPs, ESPs, data warehouses, and integrations) and the ability to translate strategy into execution. - Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-performance teams by setting clear expectations, coaching for growth, and ensuring delivery excellence. - Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada without requiring employer sponsorship, both presently and in the future.
