Role Description The Human Resources Business Partner works with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies focused on talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement. Serves as the HR representative for locations in the assigned geographic area. About this role: - Interprets policies and procedures, implements HR Programs, and conducts training and communications to all levels of the team. - Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. - Assists the HR team and operations in handling team members relations, including coaching, conflict management, progressive discipline, terminations, exit interviews, stay interviews, and maintaining accurate and updated team member files. - Provides advice based on knowledge of employment law including state and federal regulations. - Maintains compliance with all applicable regulations. - Identifies opportunities to improve the work environment through personal observation, practice communication, monitoring of metrics, and innovative human capital strategies. - Partners with the operations team to implement tactical HR solutions that support the organization's strategic objectives. - Administers Workers' Compensation claims for the regional area. - Engages with managers and employees on modified duty programs. - Administers LMS and Learning and Development systems. - Administers leave of absence/FMLA/disability. - Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws. - Accountable for compliance with all Department of Labor guidelines per state and EEOC guidelines. - Responds to Unemployment claims for the regional area, and attends Unemployment hearings and mediations. Qualifications - Experience supporting multi states. - Bilingual - a plus. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. - Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies. - Ability to support the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and administrative practices. - Proven success working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. - Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. - Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, benefits administration, organizational efficacy, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree (preferred). - SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred. - In lieu of a degree, 5 or more years of relevant experience may be considered for employment without the degree or certification, including a minimum of 2 years working and/or supporting CA locations.
