Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. The Story: Leading the Developer Experience (DevEx) Revolution The industry is shifting. It's no longer enough to just provide tools; the world's most innovative companies are now focused on Developer Experience (DevEx) - the art of removing friction from the software development lifecycle to unlock engineering velocity. At Atlassian, we are building the definitive DevEx Platform. We are moving beyond fragmented DevOps "collections" to a unified experience that empowers developers to spend less time on "toil" and more time on high-impact code. As a leader in this space, you will be at the center of this transformation, helping the largest enterprises in EMEA redefine how their engineering organizations thrive. Your future team You will oversee a specialized team dedicated to driving the Atlassian Developer Experience to our most strategic Enterprise customers. This involves implementing customized sales strategies, fostering long-term, value-based relationships with key accounts, and achieving ambitious revenue targets. You will collaborate closely with Channel Partners, Account Managers, and Solution Engineers to refine sales procedures and elevate the customer journey. Why join this team? - Build the EMEA Powerhouse: You aren't just inheriting a team; you are scaling it. Starting with three direct reports and growing to five by year-end, you will have the autonomy to hire your own talent and shape the operational framework for the entire EMEA region. - The "Best of Both Worlds": Enjoy the stability and brand equity of Atlassian while operating with the speed and "founder-mentality" of a specialized startup unit. - Lead from the Front: We are looking for a "Player-Coach"-a leader who has been a top-tier sales performer and knows how to coach a team through complex, high-stakes enterprise negotiations. In this role you will - Lead & Scale: Manage a team of Enterprise Specialist Sales Executives to achieve revenue goals while leading the recruitment and onboarding of new talent to support our growth. - Drive Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate and expand market share within the EMEA enterprise segment. - Coach for Performance: Provide hands-on mentorship and coaching, setting clear metrics to help your team exceed individual and collective targets. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with internal teams and Channel partners to streamline sales processes and enhance overall customer satisfaction. - Execute at the Executive Level: Manage key client relationships and lead high-level negotiations, providing regular performance insights to senior management. - Stay Ahead of the Market: Analyze sales data and industry trends to identify new opportunities for growth within the DevEx landscape. Your background - Experience: 10+ years in Enterprise Sales with at least 3+ years in a leadership/management role. - Domain Expertise: A proven track record selling application development solutions (experience with AI-driven development tools is a significant plus). - The "DevEx" Mindset: While deep technical coding skills aren't required, you must have a strong awareness of modern development processes and how DevEx impacts engineering efficiency. - Leadership DNA: A passion for coaching and mentoring professionals through value-driven, solution-oriented sales cycles. - Strategic Communication: Comfortable building and managing relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives. - Operational Excellence: Experience using CRM, Pipeline Management, and Analytic tools to drive data-driven decisions. - Innovation: You are someone who wants to challenge the traditional Sales Model and optimize processes in a fast-paced, international environment. Role Description We’re looking for a hands-on Salesforce Technical Lead to take ownership of a mature Salesforce implementation that has grown over time without consistent architectural governance. Salesforce has been in place for more than 8 years, with multiple developers and administrators contributing along the way. While the platform supports critical business processes, it currently faces data growth issues, governor limit constraints, and integration complexity. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analyzing existing systems, cleaning things up, and making them scalable and maintainable, while still being close to the code. - Perform a technical and functional assessment of the current Salesforce org. - Analyze existing objects, automations, jobs, and queries to identify inefficiencies and unused components. - Address data storage growth, governor limit risks, and performance issues. - Define and implement data governance, retention, and archiving strategies. - Review and improve existing integrations between Salesforce and external systems. - Help define clear integration patterns aligned with the company’s broader Azure-based architecture. - Design and implement APIs and data synchronization flows using REST, SOAP, GraphQL, or event-based approaches where appropriate. - Act as the technical reference for a small Salesforce team (4–5 developers/admins). - Lead by example through hands-on development, refactoring, and architectural improvements. - Guide technical decisions, best practices, and implementation approaches. - Support estimation and planning from a technical perspective. - Work closely with the Director of Software Engineering and other engineers to align Salesforce with overall system architecture. - Collaborate with Product and Engineering stakeholders to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions. - Document architecture decisions, data models, and integration flows clearly. Qualifications - 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce technical experience in large, complex orgs. - Proven experience cleaning up, stabilizing, and optimizing existing Salesforce platforms. - Strong background in data architecture, governance, and performance optimization. - Deep experience integrating Salesforce with external systems and cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred). - Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems. - Ability to lead through influence, not just authority, in large engineering organizations. - Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with senior technical stakeholders. Requirements - Salesforce Architect certifications (Integration, Data, Application, or CTA). - Experience with CI/CD, SFDX, and modern DevOps practices. - Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (Aura/Web), Flows, and Visualforce. - Prior experience owning architectural decisions for a platform or product domain. Benefits - Fully remote work with hardware provided. - Global team experience with clients in North America. - Competitive USD compensation. - Training and learning stipends. - Paid Time Off (vacation, personal, study). - A culture that values autonomy, purpose, and human connection.
