This role carries out analysis and evaluation of customer and technical requirements, develops implementation concepts, and holds accountability for implementation. Qualifications - 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, data architecture, or solution architecture. - Proven hands-on experience with B2B data platforms and integrations. - Experience in large, complex, multi-system enterprise environments, aligning architecture across teams and domains. - Strong understanding of modern data platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures. - Solid experience designing solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Proven integration patterns, including API-first, event-driven, streaming, and EDI approaches. - Solid knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management. - Familiarity with analytics, BI, and emerging AI/ML architectures. - Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF (or similar). - Strategic thinking with a systems-level, enterprise mindset. - Ability to clearly communicate complex architecture concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Influence decisions and outcomes without direct authority. - Approach challenges with a structured, pragmatic, and outcome-focused mindset. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with a proven track record of leading complex, mission critical projects from concept to commissioning. This role will play a key part in shaping the architecture of high-performance, secure, and scalable data center environments to meet the evolving demands of top tier cloud and colocation clients. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule and can be based from a variety of locations in the US where AECOM has an office. Although the position is primarily remote, periodic travel may be required for client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities.
