Loan Officer – Purchase, Direct Lending Sales
International Luxury Hotel Association
• Handle inbound and outbound leads from existing clients to help them secure a purchase mortgage • Qualify borrowers for purchase loans using automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) • Provide mortgage options in a single call, assisting clients in choosing the best loan for their needs • Engage and collaborate with real estate agents (both network and non-network), including conducting welcome calls and proactive outreach to build and maintain strong referral relationships. • Gather necessary documentation and submit completed mortgage applications for processing • Set clear expectations with clients from the start of the transaction and provide ongoing communication throughout • Ensure compliance with all regulatory mortgage guidelines and company policies • Collaborate with internal operations to maintain clean files and ensure smooth loan closings • Enter and manage transactions in PHH Mortgage's lead management system • Provide exceptional customer service to all borrowers, ensuring a positive experience throughout the loan process • Balance your day between managing inbound leads and following up with clients in your sales pipeline to meet performance standards • Attend training, sales meetings, and other company events as required • Stay current with mortgage industry trends and complete required internal training
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or military experience equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of Encompass experience required
- Preferred 2 years of Loan Officer experience, particularly in a call center or phone-based sales role
- Ability to obtain required licensing and continuing education in multiple states (company-sponsored)
- Maintain all necessary federal and state licensing annually (including background and credit checks)
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to address client concerns effectively
- Professional communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to work a shift schedule that includes one evening shift per week and one Saturday per month (4-hour shift, paid overtime)
