• Ensures accuracy and completeness of clinical coding for reimbursement • Conducts regular coding audits and ongoing monitoring of coding accuracy • Develops educational sessions for coding staff • Serves as a resource for coding standards and guidelines • Designs audit tools to monitor coding accuracy • Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements • Conducts trend analyses of coding practices • Abides by ethical coding standards

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, required
  • Inpatient - RHIT, RHIA, CCA, CCS, or CIC required
  • Outpatient - RHIT, RHIA, or relevant Coding Certification(s) required
  • Four (4) years of relevant hospital coding or auditing experience required
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles and guidelines
  • Extensive knowledge of 3M Coding applications and resolving coding edits
  • Working knowledge of reimbursement systems and regulations
  • Knowledge of database applications and spreadsheet design
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

ABOUT THE JOB The Clinical Applications Trainer role works collaboratively to onboard, develop, coordinate, and deliver a great clinical applications training experience. This role is responsible for overseeing the Clinical Applications training process for all new teammates, coordinating live training sessions, and ensuring the success of training initiatives for a new health center. The Clinical Application Trainer is instrumental in supporting new health center go-live training for Clinical applications workflows, promoting best practices and supporting the clinical applications training plan for clinical teammates. This is a PART TIME role 24 hours a week and includes benefits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Orientation: - Organize and coordinate, in collaboration with the Clinical Education Team, virtual orientation training. - Facilitate and coordinate engaging live training sessions to equip new hires with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. New Health Center Success: - Play an instrumental role in supporting the successful go-live launch of new health centers by delivering training programs specifically tailored to the new health center's clinical applications workflows and best practices. - Provide training and support during implementation, including remote education, on-site go-live support, and post-go-live training as needed. Clinical Applications Training Support: - Assess and work tickets within Freshworks. Curriculum Development & Delivery: - Design and maintain up-to-date clinical applications curriculum, materials, and processes. - Deliver engaging training programs (live, virtual, one-on-one, and on-site) for new and existing teammates. - Develop and maintain training resources and materials such as training documents, manuals, videos, and quick reference guides. On-Site Training & Support: - Provide training support for various onsite training needs for clinical applications training. Additional Duties: - Frequent travel may be required to support onsite training. - Track metrics as needed for clinical applications OKRs. - Additional responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years’ training experience in a healthcare related field and 2+ years of experience working with EHR systems and clinical technologies, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
